Beyond the shore
I will walk out to you beyond the swirling shore, Shouldering aside the breaching waves Overturning me and washing me back once more. Once I am renewed, I will return though unsure Whether my fate belongs to the sea or is one that saves I will still walk out to you beyond the swirling shore. And in my path onwards as my feet leave the sandy floor Still I will seek from within the healing that laves me overturning me and washing me back once more. And with my heart free of remorse I’ll start once more, And when you call to me I’ll be the one that saves, As I walk out to you beyond the swirling shore. And though I doubt when I meet the rocks lying before. My faltering steps falling I’ll seize the hand that waves To me overturning me and washing me back once more. I‘ll return and whisper forever holding your hand And you will answer me even if we are unsure I still will walk out to you beyond the swirling shore, Even should we be overturned and washed back once more.
