What is time, really?
Time is a construct. It’s a convenience created by humans to sequence and organize events and tasks. Time is nothing but a story.
We may think time is a story working for us. But isn’t time more often working on us?
For every other living thing on earth, now is all there is. The present moment is where everything is living and being.
Aside from us, no other living creature or thing is spinning narratives of loss or regret about the past or attaching their worthiness and well-being to desired results in the future.
The here and now is the only place where you can show up as you are, with what you have, and do what you can to make the difference only you can make.
What happens if you let go of the narrative you’re spinning about time?
What if you accepted and acknowledged the moment you’re in now and put forth your best effort with those with whom you find yourself to make the next moment half a shade better?
It might help to think about what kind of time in which you want to operate.
