I am woven into the fabric of the universe I do not know where “I” begin And the next collection of atoms end The building blocks of all things Bridging the gap between “you” and “I” Once believed to be separate But we will no longer believe that lie I am the sun, the sea, and the sky I am the clouds circling the Earth Looking down as we wander by I am the cosmos I am part of the field containing all things I am the waves of sound travelling through your ears I am God But so are you And so it is And so we are Makers of our own story Architects of our own devices We walk among the formless The ethereal beings of light Holding our hands And guiding us Towards calming the storm inside Each day I am one step closer To returning home But my ship has not yet sailed And my grace is yet to leave I am returning to where I came from One day at a time I was born “out” of this universe Never born “into” I was And will always be Part of this cosmic dance Moving my feet separately
