Vata, Pitta or Kapha Dosha: what does it mean?

Ayurvedic Mind-Body Types 101

Maybe you’ve just had your assessment ceremony with me, and I’ve given you a quick first indication. I might have said that you’ve got a Vata, Pitta or Kapha Dosha. But there’s no need to pick just one! You may also have a combination of two or even three.

Knowledge is Queen. But before we go ahead with the deep, transformative, lifestyle work, you may want to have a quick recap on what these words mean. This is for you, to listen to as often as you need. Or for your friends, who you may be educating along the way, too. 🦜💚

💡 These are just the basics. Your sessions will offer much more personalised depth, and you will also be able to find much more generic Ayurveda 101’s on Ayurveda Mamma over time!

💡💡 One more thing before I sign off: the Dosha you have right now, is not necessarily the one you were born with. While your Doshic DNA tells us lots about how you were designed to live your life, your current Dosha (Sanskrit: Vikruti) tells us more about the results of the choices you are currently making in life. Choices are likely to manifest in the body. If these choices are not serving you, they will manifest as an imbalance; a.k.a. your current Dosha.

Love,

Deborah Rose
