Former FBI official charged with violating Russia sanctions, money laundering
Charles McGonigal, 54, was accused in a five-count indictment of working for Russian aluminum magnate Oleg Deripaska, who has been under U.S. sanctions since 2018. Sergey Shestakov, a former Russian diplomat turned U.S. citizen who worked as an interpreter for federal courts and prosecutors, was also charged in the scheme.
Federal prosecutors allege the pair worked for Deripaska to investigate an unnamed rival Russian oligarch in 2021 in violation of U.S. sanctions and worked to conceal their activity. Shestakov faces an additional charge of lying to FBI investigators. — CBS News
Our Take: “Two separate indictments here: one out of the SDNY and one out of DC. This does not appear to be a RussiaGate related case—not directly—but does directly involve two players in RussiaGate characters: McGonigal himself and Oleg Deripaska, a KEY character in RussiaGate. These are not John Durham indictments, but it seems plausible, if not likely that work done by Durham, and possibly Michael Horowitz led to these indictments. We could see a sort of cross pollination of evidence take place between these cases—the one already filed against Deripaska, and ones that Durham has on his desk now.” — Just Human
Four Oath Keepers Convicted of Seditious Conspiracy by DC Kangaroo Court for Marching Up US Capitol Steps in a Stack and Singing National Anthem on Jan. 6
Four Oath Keepers members were convicted of seditious conspiracy by a DC Kangaroo Court for standing outside the US Capitol without weapons on January 6, 2021.
The four were the latest Trump Supporters to be fully charged on fraudulent charges for attending the January 6 protests in Washington DC.
Wicked Obama Judge Amit Mehta oversaw the kangaroo court proceedings. — The Gateway Pundit
Our Take: “As radical leftists violently attack Atlanta, peaceful Trump supporters are convicted of seditious conspiracy for singing the national anthem OUTSIDE of the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. This is more than a double standard. It's a two-tiered system of justice designed to have a "chilling effect" on anyone who considers protesting stolen elections in Arizona and beyond.” — Sean Morgan
UPDATE: Archdiocese of San Francisco Confirms to Gateway Pundit They Are “Unaware” of Any Exorcism at Pelosi Home
On Saturday Pelosi spawn, Alexandra Pelosi, claimed the Paul Pelosi scandal prompted her mother to perform an exorcism on their home in San Francisco.
The New York Times reported:
“I think that weighed really heavy on her soul. I think she felt really guilty. I think that really broke her. Over Thanksgiving, she had priests coming, trying to have an exorcism of the house and having prayer services,” Alexandra told the publication.
[…]
We heard back from the Archdiocese on Monday afternoon.
Peter Marlow, the Executive Director of Communications and Media Relations at the San Francisco Archdiocese, told The Gateway Pundit:
“The Archdiocese is unaware of the exorcism question you raised.” — The Gateway Pundit
Our Take: “In case you missed it, Nancy Pelosi's daughter Alexandra claimed that the former House Speaker had priests perform "an exorcism of the house" as well as "prayer services." It was obvious from the start that the "exorcism of Pelosi house" was some sort of publicity stunt or flat-out lie; the best supporting evidence for this claim is the fact that Nancy still lives there and hasn't yet burst into flames. Now, the Archdiocese of San Francisco has officially confirmed that they are "unaware" of any exorcism taking place at the Pelosi home. The question remains: was this merely the secondhand ramblings of the withered former Speaker, or was this meant to be some sort of communication letting others know that the house was now clean? We can only speculate.” — Ryan DeLarme
Fatal heart attacks have surged in Australia. Here’s why
The pandemic has caused a surge of fatal cardiac arrests in Australia, as delayed care and COVID’s damaging effect on the heart drives a major uptick in serious heart issues.
More than 10,200 Australians died of ischemic heart disease in the first eight months of 2022 – that is about 17 per cent higher than would be expected in a normal year.
[…]
Leading heart disease experts say the death statistics are concerning but not surprising. For years, cardiac deaths have been the leading cause of death in Australia. The pandemic has only increased the risk factors. — Sydney Morning Herald
Our Take: “The rise in heart attack cases is being characterized as unrelated to the COVID vaccine. These problems are attributed to gardening, exercise, the way you sleep and other causes. The basis of these causes are equivalent to glorified rumor—almost totally unfounded. The real cause is being ignored, it seems. The media plays this game, and the establishment plays with them. They know that over 20 to 30 years, the truth will be forgotten, and the only thing that will be left are "conspiracy theorists" who remember what really happened. This is why parallel record keeping and information systems are so important. History is written by the victors. Are the patriots doing any of the writing?” — Justin Deschamps
DONALD TRUMP HIRES POWERHOUSE ATTORNEY JOE TACOPINA ... Plans 'Defamation' Battle Over New Book
Donald Trump just hired one of the country's top trial attorneys, Joe Tacopina, to go after a former Manhattan prosecutor for allegedly defaming him, TMZ has learned.
In his first order of biz as 45's new legal eagle, Tacopina fired off a letter Monday to lawyer Mark Pomerantz, claiming Pomerantz falsely stated Trump was "guilty of numerous felony violations" and that it was a "grave failure of justice not to hold [Trump] accountable by way of criminal prosecution." — TMZ
Our Take: “Yeah, it’s TMZ, but a scoop is a scoop, and they have one here. Trump just hired a high power defamation attorney to go after former Manhattan prosecutor Mark Pomerantz, who frivolously pursued Trump and his businesses for two years, and failed, but who has a new book coming out called ‘The People vs Donald Trump’ in which he, apparently, plans to grift off of his failures to “get Trump.” This quote from the letter sent to Pomerantz by Tacopina says it all: "‘I strongly admonish you to take these next words seriously: If you publish such a book and continue making defamatory statements against my client, my office will aggressively pursue all legal remedies against you and your book publisher, Simon & Schuster.’” — Just Human
Report: Soros Spends over $40M Getting District Attorneys Elected Across U.S.
Billionaire George Soros has spent more than $40 million getting far-left district attorneys, with agendas to decriminalize a number of crimes, elected across the United States.
The investment, published in the New York Post by author Matt Palumbo, means “Soros-backed DAs (and their ideological allies) now represent at least one-fifth of Americans.” — Breitbart
Our Take: “Most of our readers will have known for a long time now that George Soros has a completely harmless habit of installing district attorneys across the U.S.—attorneys who always seem eager to toe the party line and lend a helping hand when BLM or Antifa start wild'n out. Even Politico reported on this back in August of 2016! Now, the New York Post reports that George Soros has invested at least $40 million in getting these DA's elected, saying that ‘Soros-backed DAs (and their ideological allies) now represent at least one-fifth of Americans.’ I'm sure George Soros is just a huge fan of the law, and there is nothing more to see here.” — Ryan DeLarme
Many of worst mass shootings post-COVID have occurred in states with tight gun laws, data shows
The mass shooting in California that left 10 people dead this weekend is the latest reminder that many of the deadliest mass shootings in America since COVID-19 have occurred in states with strict gun laws.
The worst mass shooting by far since the start of the COVID pandemic occurred in Uvalde, Texas, where when 21 elementary school students were killed. The Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence gives Texas an F grade for gun laws, as the state allows permitless carry and does not have restrictions on assault weapons, among other things.
However, of the five worst shootings in the United States since 2020, four of the states in which they occurred have at least a "B" grade from Giffords.
Excluding murder-suicides within a family, half of the ten deadliest mass shootings over this period occurred in states that received at least an "A-" gun law grade. — Just the News
Our Take: “We're told that guns are a serious problem. We're told that gun control is the answer. And yet, in the places where gun control has, in effect, been in place for years, we see the most mass shootings. The globalists will try to spin this in some way—they are master spinsters. But the truth is plain to see.” — Justin Deschamps
M&M's Ends Woke "Spokescandies" After Pushback, Replacing Them With Actress Maya Rudolph
M&M’s says it’s pulling its increasingly woke “spokescandies” mascots after a massive pushback over the politicization of the beloved candy brand.
Mars, the candy maker which produces M&M’s, announced on Jan. 23 that it would replace its decades-old team of M&M’s “spokescandies” mascots with the actress Maya Rudolph, after backlash by longtime fans over its failed makeover to make the brand more inclusive. — The Epoch Times, sourced by ZeroHedge
Our Take: “Ever just sigh when you read a certain headline? Well, that was me after pausing a media scroll to see that (triple checks notes) M&M candies were apparently ‘not inclusive enough’ for Mars brand. That said, while the headline is as groan-inducing as the overall trend, the fact that this campaign messaging received such universal and immediate backlash from an increasingly-restless and outspoken American populace shows those of us in this more discerning community that the Marxists have pushed too far, and too fast … and that the boomerangs are coming.” — Burning Bright

I am reading Christopher Adamo's book "Rules for Defeating Radicals" on General Flynn's suggestion. In early statements, Mr. Adamo reminds us that, for the radical left, there are no "mistakes" or "failures" or even "weaknesses" in their doctrines - they refuse to allow such critical thinking to occur (or if it does to quickly 'debunk' it as racist, hate-speech). As much as the "it depends on what the definition of 'is', is" defense was ridiculed, it was a concerted and radical shift in the average American's ability to rely on discernible standards.
