Science!
The 2020s have been a scientific dark age.
As this series aims to educate on the stupidity of the past four years, new incidents continue to pile up like dog shit. We still have to deal with the lies that the COVID industrial complex tells to justify more lockdowns. For example, a random Twitter post recently claimed that America is seeing its second-biggest spike in COVID prevalence ever. This claim is at odds with objective statistics shown by Worldometer and other sources. Even CDC stats suggest we’re seeing some of the lowest numbers so far. Yet the media immediately picked up the doom-filled claim from the Twitter post and ran with it.
It is absolutely mind-blowing. Somebody who knows no more about epidemiology than anyone else claims to have some advanced degree and makes a completely random claim. And the media repeats it without any fact-checking whatsoever—ignoring objective facts that can be found on many websites and were compiled from hospital reports. All to advance their cause of more mandates.
Also this month, the Charlotte Observer made an objectively false claim, stating, “COVID hospitalizations in Charlotte are at a 3-year high.” This is simply wrong. A Twitter commenter even called this “balderdash.”
Now some agencies aren’t even trying to hide that they don’t follow science. They’ve spent four years telling people to trust science—even though real science shows they’re wrong—but now they’re saying to ignore science. The Rhode Island Department of Health is considering a proposed regulation that would allow the agency to enact a statewide mask mandate in schools without even looking at anything that purports to be science. The proposed rule says, “An absence of scientific evidence regarding the effectiveness of face masks against a specific pathogen will not prevent the Department from considering a face mask requirement.”
In other words, the department would be able to decree a mask mandate regardless of any scientific data out there. An “absence of scientific evidence” would be considered evidence enough.
That’s not science. That’s a cult.
It’s as if they know there’s no science to back up lockdowns and masks, so they’ve resorted to “because we say so.” For unelected agencies to bark down orders while not showing any facts to back them up is completely antithetical to open, democratic governance.
COVID isn’t even the only matter that shows what a scientific dark age we’re in. For instance, FCC regulators have completely ignored facts regarding how digital TV signals propagate, even though the facts were clear even to people with far less education. The View gave a standing ovation to actor Terrence Howard when he gave a detailed presentation that incorrectly “proved” that the square root of two is not an irrational number. Websites have cropped up that try to show that pi is equal to four by cutting corners off a square surrounding a circle. Other outlets have outright denied the effects of specific environmental or industrial disasters that took place decades ago, even though these effects had long been well documented.
And the media just eats it right up. No gumshoe investigation. Just stenographing of talking points made up on the spur of the moment by random weirdos. We have to keep an eye on everything the COVID industrial complex does, because the media won’t do their job. We have to be the media!
