"Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see. Every breath we take, every step we take, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity. The question is whether or not we are in touch with it. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment."

Inspiration for Meditation for Peace Sessions
It is from my heart’s center that I share these sessions with you. I was a follower of Thich Nhat Hanh since the 1990s. Discovering his work helped me to step into a new field of awareness: mindfulness. During a time of infertility, I turned to spiritual practices to help me accept where I was, to be mindful of the current state of being. To simply be. I’ll never forget this time in my life of organizing my life around mindfulness.
To be honest, I was in a Simple Living group in the mid-90’s. I was embracing an Eastern thought process centered around a zen philosophy of minimalism and focus on the truest parts of ourselves. One of our members went on to become a CEO and invited us to consider the ideas of compounded interest. At the time, in my 20’s I thought it was “too late” to begin. It was that Simple Living group that brought focus to so many of us despite how much really stuck into our lifestyles.
I have thought about this group from time to time as I guide women into lifestyle habits that are lasting. Ways of being that are simple and intentional. I now see that these ideas and thoughts have been building since I became an adult. This development feels authentic and true to my nature.
Meditation for Peace
Inside this meditation session, you will experience another chakra illumination guided practice. It has its own flavor. I am speaking from my personal truth and what I know to draw you out. I hope you will find this practice to be one of simple resonance. Practicing within the same guidance can afford you a deeper practice. It is within the structure of accepting your teacher as human that you transform into your own teacher. This is the hope of this three-part series, as I understand the nature of being a beginning meditation practitioner.
To guide YOU to become a person who allocates time and space in your day to meditate with your own inner landscape. To sit and allow a revelation of your unique inner landscape to reveal the insights from which you can learn. It is a bit like journaling, actually. If you do this daily, you learn more about yourself. That is the aim of journaling for most. This is simpler to me than journaling. However, I do journal after meditation to remember the insights.
What about you? How do you remember your insights from meditation?
If you haven’t gotten to this point. Don’t worry. Continue to practice and insight will reveal itself. Once you discover the best way for you to “go there” (there meaning meditation), then you will be able to continue and master greater depths of insight, as it does tend to develop within you. However, as we are human, we may come and go to meditation. This is ok, too. Whatever brings you back to the meditation pillow to sit, allow that to be a new insight, too!
With loving kindness and deep wishes for peace in our world.
May all beings know peace.
May all beings be free from harm.
May all beings be free from pain.
May all beings know of freedom.
Namaste.
With loving kindness,
Angela
