The Korea Professional Football Federation and Spain's La Liga
The Korea Professional Football Federation and Spain's La Liga have signed a business agreement to promote mutual development and cooperation until the end of 2026.
The K-League and La Liga signed a business agreement for the first time in December 2020, sharing information and strategies on the overall operation of the league, sharing how to secure the financial soundness of the club, eradicating illegal broadcasting and improving the quality of broadcasting, supporting training programs for youth players and leaders, participating in youth competitions and promoting friendly matches, and supporting exchanges and agreements between clubs in both leagues.
This year, FC Seoul, Jeonbuk Hyundai, and Ulsan Hyundai visited Spain to participate in training programs and practice games, and K-League team managers, directors, and secretaries visited La Liga headquarters and clubs to tour the club's operation. In addition, training programs for youth team leaders under the K-League and benchmarking programs for K-League broadcasting producers are planned in December.
As such, the two leagues have been exchanging various exchanges in each field and position over the past three years, and the agreement will be extended to continue the relationship in the future.
The business agreement ceremony was held at Civitas Metropolitano, the home stadium of Atletico Madrid, on the 10th of this month. Secretary-General Cho Yeon-sang and CEO Oscar Mayo Pardo of La Liga attended the meeting to sign the agreement and form a consensus for mutual development.
With the extension of the agreement, the two leagues will continue to exchange existing cooperation areas such as internationalization strategies, youth soccer development, marketing and brand strategies, and broadcast production quality, and expand new cooperation areas such as training programs for players and coaches, joint promotions for e-sports competitions, revitalization of women's soccer and campaigns against discrimination.
Secretary-General Cho Yeon-sang said, "We are pleased to extend our business agreement with Lariga. The K-League has made great progress in various fields over the past three years with La Liga. "We hope that the two leagues will continue to achieve their main goals through strengthened cooperation and increase their status in international soccer," he said. 토토사이트
