Conference Roundup
Earlier this month I attended two great conferences.
The Art of Shepherding
The Art of Shepherding is a day conference dedicated to helping pastors grow to be better shepherds, drawing from scripture and church history.
I really enjoyed Aaron Prelock’s talk on pastoral insights from Gregory the Great and Brad Franklin’s on pastoral lessons from Bunyan’s Great-Heart.
You can catch up with all the sessions HERE.
Catalyst 2023
Catalyst is the annual IPC Conference. I’ve been attending this since 2016. The theme of the conference was ‘The Christian Minister: His Shepherd and Flock, His Identity and World.’
All the talks are worth a listen, but I’d start with either David Gibson’s three expositions on Psalm 23, or the four from Sinclair Ferguson.
You can catch up with all the sessions HERE.
Date for Catalyst next year are 11-13 June 2024 with the theme being ‘The Christian War: Standing in Christ against the world, the flesh, and the devil.’
Field Notes
A reminder that every Saturday I send out a Substack with 10 links from around the web worth checking out, and the latest resources I’ve produced at Blog of Dan (my online Notion page).
