Phantom: Quick Facts
Phantom Wallet was initially only on Solana
Recent Series B funding round $109 million led by Paradigm
$1 Billion+ valuation
2.5 million user sessions per day1
Founded by Francesco Agosti (CTO), Chris Kalani (CPO) and Brandon Millman (CEO).
Now adding Polygon and ETH use to their application
Partnering with Polygon
Polygon continues to dominate the landscape for partnerships and collaborations with almost every major brand. It is no surprise that Phantom added both ETH and Polygon.
This is also likely a big step towards gaming wallets.
Interoperability
The biggest news here is that Phantom will be 1 wallet that allows you to access to multiple chains of NFTs.
Before this announcement most people had to switch between wallets depending on which chain their NFTs lived on.
Example
ETH NFTs: Metamask
Sol NFTs: Phantom
With Phantom’s new announcement you will be able to use just 1 wallet application for NFTs on three chains (ETH, Sol, Polygon).
Built with NFTs in mind
The new wallet will help manage NFTs. Building a wallet that helps with transactions and organization will be a net positive.
Positive additions
Viewership of NFTs
Removal of spam

I am curious to see how this plays out in operation and find this to be exciting.

Conclusion
I am excited to see what Phantom does with their wallet. It is great to see higher levels of interoperability across chains and think advancing infrastructure is a very important aspect of moving Web 3 forward.
I am excited to see the new Phantom wallet, and think this is a solid positive step forward.
