I usually take the stairs at the criminal courthouse. Misdemeanor courtrooms are on the third floor and felony are on the fourth. Just enough steps to get my heart pumping and breathing a little hard. I think it helps my brain get ready for the courtroom.
Studies show reading comprehension performance was significantly better after exercise. Researchers concluded:
“Single, acute bouts of moderately-intense aerobic exercise (i.e., walking) may improve the cognitive control of attention…and further supports the use of moderate acute exercise as a contributing factor for increasing attention and academic performance.”
So, if you see me upstairs at the courthouse and I am breathing hard, it’s (probably) not a panic attack. Just a little morning cardio to get all my systems running.

TikTok is weird. And I’ve been messing around with it for a few years now. It started as something entertaining to do as I drove my daughter/videographer to school in the morning. I’ve had a few run up what I thought were some pretty good numbers, but last month I had one take off.
