Video: Whole Group Writing mid-March

At this point in the school year, I have introduced—in whole group phonics—all the phonemes I’m going to. There are about 44 in our language. I’ve also taught and displayed some of the different spellings for the long vowels. It’s just about the end of the third quarter of the school year and this leaves me one quarter to help my students get these sounds and phonics patterns solidified in their reading and writing. Most are learning and practicing first grade skills and demonstrating first grade stamina. Check out the video!
