Every Morning Find One Thing to Be Happy or Grateful For

You want to start your day with fresh energy and a refreshed perspective.

Hey, welcome back to Morning Caffeine.

A lot of people often talk about doing a gratitude journal at night before you go to bed, recapping the day.

But what about when you're first waking up? How do you kickstart your day with the best possible feeling that you can have so that all of those things that were swirling around the night before?

The end of the day is when the most stress is swirling around us because we're tired and we are out of willpower.

We've already had a long day, and we're still often in this mode of trying to get things done and trying to solve problems.

If you're the entrepreneurial type, this is a very common experience…  We have what feel like BIG problems on our plate at night, and we're just trying to get in that last little bit of effort or decisions done before the day is over. Often, we are just feeling frazzled.

You don’t want to take that same energy from the night into the next day with you. You want refreshed energy and a refreshed perspective.

Sleep is the forced disconnect that we all need so badly.

It is truly a reset button if you can push it and get some great sleep. Then suddenly, all of those problems that you had the night before, all of those stressors, yes, they still exist, but you come from a reset place.

So now that sleep has reset you, how do we kickstart our day?

The best thing we can do is find something to be happy about, be grateful for.

Just start with something that feels good.

Morning gratitude, for example, is a great practice because it primes you for the rest of the day. Priming can be used in many situations, including meetings or deep work sessions, but the best time to prime how you want to feel for later is first thing in the morning.

So as you get up in the morning…ask yourself, what is going well? What feels good? What am I excited about? What's, what's something I can look at today that feels interesting or that I can enjoy?

We have the power to change how we look at things in our lives.  And a great morning practice is to start the day using that power to create some.

Considering how you're starting as well as how you're finishing.

Remember that anytime things feel like they're too heavy or too crazy.  There are too many problems going on. Just remember that sleep is this incredible reset button.

A great way to become someone new is to start your morning feeling like that new person. What do you do to start your day with something positive? Comment below.

That's it for today. I'll be back again very soon, later.
