The main task of Just FYI Pod’s first season is to explore the “20 Most Spiritually Significant Films of All Time.” On this episode, my cohost Amy Welborn and I discuss the #14 film on our respective lists. I have chosen Andrei Tarkovsky’s historical drama Andrei Rublev (Андрей Рублёв, 1966), starring Anatoly Solonitsyn in the title role. Amy has selected Miloš Forman’s award-winning biographical drama Amadeus (1984), starring F. Murray Abraham and Tom Hulce. Both films center on the nature and purpose of art, with particular reference to the role of religion in the creative process. As ever, links are provided below. Please like, share, and comment!
