It is with the utmost excitement and joy that I am writing our first article that will teach you the true history and foundation of our great nation. Our goal is to empower you to be able to stand on your inherent rights as one of the People. As Thomas Jefferson once said
“Educate and inform the whole mass of people…They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of liberty.”
Now let us begin our journey.
Did you know?
We are a Republic. I’m sure many times throughout your life you’ve repeatedly heard teachers, those in the media, and many politicians constantly say “we are a democracy”, but this simply is not true. In fact, when our Forefather’s founded our government, it was with the fundamental belief that America should be a Republic. In a Republic the People are in charge and all the various modes of government remain, at all times, under the control of the People. We simply elect and choose our representatives but never in a Republic do we ever give up control as the People. Let me show you.
What is a Republic?
A commonwealth; a state in which the exercise of the sovereign power is lodged in the representatives elected by the people. American Dictionary of the English Language 1828 by Noah Webster
A commonwealth; that form of government in which the administration of affairs is open to all the citizens. In another sense, it signifies the state independently of its form of government. Black’s Law Dictionary 5th Edition
Let’s dig a little deeper
In a republican government all political power is inherent in the People and all free governments are founded on the authority of the People. Inherent, which means existing in something or someone, so as to be inseparable from it. Therefore, when we have inherent rights it means that these rights are inseparable from us and no one, including ANY government, can ever take them away from us.
Now let’s look to the articles and sections of the 51 Constitutions to show how we are a Republic and that all the power is inherent in the People.
“All political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit. The faith of the people of Texas stands pledged to the preservation of a republican form of government, and, subject to this limitation only, they have at all times the inalienable right to alter, reform or abolish their government in such manner as they may think expedient.” Texas Constitution Article I Section 2
“Absolute and arbitrary power over the lives, liberty, and property of freeman exists nowhere in a republic, not even in the largest majority.” Kentucky Constitution Bill of Rights Section 2;
“Absolute, arbitrary power over the lives, liberty, and property of freeman exists nowhere in a republic, not even in the largest majority.” Wyoming Constitution Article I Section 7
As you see above these are three examples within the states constitutions that show that we are a Republic and have a Republican form of government. We can also see another very clear example of this below in the United States Constitution.
“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.” United States Constitution Article IV Section 4
These are a just a few examples to provide you a clear picture as the basis for the foundation of our governments. In a Republic society is governed based on the rule of law, focused on protecting individual rights and freedoms. Our inherent rights are at all times protected by this rule of law and society is governed based off of God’s laws and moral codes. In the words of James Madison, one of the Founding Father’s of our Nation,
“We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments.”
In closing, our goal is to educate you of your powers as one of the People, empowering you against any usurpation of your inherent rights. We will continue to dive deep into the many truths that have been hidden, as this is only the beginning and we look forward to embarking on this journey with you! Excellent article Leann. Great way to start educating "We the People". A much neglected topic not taught in schools or college. The truth has been hidden from the People for way too long. This knowledge of our Constitutional rights is what our elected officials are most afraid of. An informed population takes their stolen power away. They want us divided and not working together to keep our country. Divided we are weak. Together we are strong. This is not about Democrats vs Republicans. It is about good vs evil. It is about bringing God back into our schools and respect for our flag and our country. Millions have fought and died for our country to give and keep our God given right to freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Thank you for all you wonderful ladies do to teach us rights and how to fight to keep them. God bless you all.
Excellent work ! Thank you for your valuable time & energy !!
