Abstract
The global balance of power is shifting. The resistance to NATO's push for a New Cold War is growing, particularly among the Third World countries that have historically borne the brunt of the West's imperial projects. It is the role of socialists living in the imperial core, Paweł Wargan writes, to support the peoples of the Third World as they rise up in the new era.
Paweł Wargan is an organizer and researcher based in Berlin and the coordinator of the secretariat of the Progressive International.
He wrote NATO and the Long War on the Third World.
Survivors of Kissinger’s Secret War in Cambodia Reveal Unreported Mass Killings
Greg Grandin, author of "Kissinger’s Shadow stated that the "covert justifications for illegally bombing Cambodia became the framework for the justifications of drone strikes and forever war. It’s a perfect expression of American militarism’s unbroken circle.”
According to Ben Kiernan, former head of Yale University's Genocide Studies Program (•downloadable•), Kissinger is culpable for the death of as many as 150,000 civilians, up to 6 times the number of civilians killed in US airstrikes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, and Yemen.
The National Security Archive, George Washington University, has released newly obtained documents on Kissinger’s role in TOP SECRET FBI surveillance of officials Kissinger suspected of leaking information on the clandestine U.S. bombing campaign in Cambodia, including his own NSC aide, Morton Halperin.
