New York Isn't Interested In Justice
Who gets the financial award when there are neither any victims or damages?
The theater of the Trump’s endless legal wrangling is designed to dull your interest and push you into bored acceptance of it. Regardless your criticisms of the former President, not all of these cases in various states are equal and New York features two of the most egregious examples.
As Lorraine has previously covered with her ongoing “Last Week In Legal” series, the Engoron ruling is designed to financially break Trump: In order to even make his case to the New York Court of Appeals he has to pony-up the half billion dollar judgment. This is a case where the banks that Trump was accused of defrauding testified to say that not only did he not defraud them, but they made a lot money off of him and wanted to continue their business relationship.
So where could this even go? Who gets the financial award when there are neither any victims or damages? I discuss all of this with my brilliant friend, former U.S. Assistant Attorney and life-long New Yorker Andy McCarthy:
Dana, please listen again at the video of Letitia James telling reporters gleefully the reasons Trump deserved the judgement against him. She clearly said he represented a “too pale” people… this is without all about her hatred of whites, especially of successful rich whites. Her attack on him is all about black hate and envy of whites. She hates her black skin.
Where is the victim? If it was the banks, then how was this case even brought to court?
