There's Nothing Controversial About Jason Aldean's Song
Progressives are desperate to make this about race to deflect from the ugly reality that most of the areas burned down by their violent riots were predominately black communities.
Jason Aldean came out with this song back in May but progressives are such huge country music fans that they’re only just now discovering it. Their delayed contrived outrage caused CMT to drop the video from its rotation this week (they still play videos?).
There is nothing in this video that is controversial or about race. There is nothing in the lyrics that are controversial or about race. Aldean literally condemns violence, from riots and violent crime plaguing Democrat-controlled cities.
Progressives are desperate to make this about race to deflect from the ugly reality that most of the areas burned down by their violent riots were predominately black communities and the areas most affected by violent crime are generationally-controlled Democrat cities.
Instead of joining him in condemning violence, they try to rewire the public’s perception of responsibility with performative outrage.
It’s stuff like this that Aldean is condemning: The man below was robbed for the third time this week while pushing his cart and selling ice cream in Oakland.
This would not happen in a small town because locals would race to this grandpa’s defense and beat their asses. Small town logic dictates that if someone needs handling, you handle them. Every area has its faults and small towns are no exception, but the reason small town denizens of all backgrounds keep each other’s six is because they’re all they’ve got. Miles of highway separate these communities from everyone else.
Aldean’s vignette about small towns sounds foreign to mostly-coastal progressives because the only time they ever visit a small town is to hit a winery or go antiquing. They’re happy to forget flyover folks the rest of the time, as Sheryl Crow has apparently done.
Crow grew up in a small Missouri town not far from my family’s small Missouri town. She hasn’t been in the headlines for awhile and clearly saw an opportunity to clout-chase on the coattails of this non-troversy:
If you can’t tell the difference between promoting violence from condemning violence then you shouldn’t comment on it.
Former Monsanto Round-Up defender Shannon Watts — who once fronted the Bloomberg-created “Moms Demand” group before leaving after being accused by staffers of being a “nightmare” and a “self-promoting tyrant” — tried claiming credit for CMT’s actions while targeting the Grand Ole Opry to cancel Aldean’s August performance date. So far the Opry hasn’t budged and Aldean’s song has topped the charts. (Hard to be effective when you don’t have a billionaire propping you up anymore.)
Aldean issued one response via Twitter:
The left has targeted NASCAR, football, and country music because each are considered pillars of conservative culture and most commonly associated with Republicans or “the right.” They’ve been moderately successful with NASCAR, their success with the NFL was short-lived, but country music is where they’ve gained the most traction.
Destroying an iconic cultural representation of “red state” ideology is like erecting a flag upon an opponent’s battlement. It’s a claim of territory in cultural warfare with the purpose of further isolating conservatives and Republicans and making them feel ostracized from society. Because the left thrives on group-think and public approval they believe that cutting off their policy opponents from these avenues of culture will coerce them into compliance. Those who want to be liked will cave. Those who care more about truth and liberty will not.
I hope Aldean says nothing further and continues to perform this song. I hope the Opry doesn’t cave to leftist stooges who have to Google the correct spelling of their name.
You can’t really call it Country music anymore.
Liberal's twisted mindset has also twisted their comprehension. Soon we will no longer be able to carry on basic conversation. It's like they are becoming a totally different species.
