I’m sure by now you’ve seen the news that Tucker is out at Fox, effective now. In a statement Fox said Carlson’s last show was on Friday. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” the network said.
No one really knows what happened. Whether it was related to the Dominion case or anything else is speculation. What we do know is that Carlson’s program was the highest rated primetime program on cable and his powerhouse presence brought in ad revenue at a time when ads in media are struggling everywhere else. His producer reportedly left with him, which may signal that Carlson isn’t done with broadcasting just yet.
Fox said they’ll rotate hosts until they figure out a replacement; whoever it is will have a sizable lead-in from Jesse Watters, the next biggest show at the network.
I’ve known Carlson for a number of years and have enjoyed watching his transformation from policy wonk and reserved commentator to one of the standard bearers for the Constitutional cause. He’s an incredibly effective communicator which made him a main target of the left — and jealous righties eager to ride the coattails of progressive attacks without having to be the aggressors themselves.
It’s a shocking move for Fox to be sure — and Don Lemon has to be relieved that this news hit the same day that CNN unceremoniously fired him after 17 years with the network. Adding insult to injury, Lemon’s original tweet bears a factcheck because CNN disputed his version of events.
Whoever lands the coveted slot will undoubtedly do well, unless they’re a broadcast newbie, but will that be enough to keep eyeballs from Watters’s lead-in? Carlson’s departure will be a true test of of post-Trump conservative media consumption.
Carlson’s final public remarks were at the Heritage 50th anniversary dinner on Friday night: “I am not a slave. I am a free citizen, and I'm not doing that, and there's nothing you can do to me to make me do it, and I hope it won't come to that, but if it does come to that, here I am. Here I am. It's Paul on trial. Here I am.”
"Jeremy, you've been traded to the Phillies. . . .You're a good ball player, Jeremy, and we wish you the best."

I like that the only noise being made about this is coming from everyone except Tucker and Fox. Tucker will be fine. And Fox wouldn't get rid of their best player unless it was really good for them.
I didn't see this coming, but Tucker can bounce back and Still be a thorn in back side of the Leftist.
