From time immemorial, mother nature has provided the best nutrition for human babies! Until recently, the norm has been, takes 3-5 days for mom’s milk to “come in” after giving birth.
Yes, there are exceptions (including medical conditions), that can lead to a delay or low milk supply, but these exceptions are rare.
This is how our species has survived!
Unfortunately, another disturbing, new trend is emerging. Mothers are reporting takes up to 10 days for full milk to “come in”. Based on the timing of these complaints, could there be a connection between delay in mom’s milk supply and the rise of the following conditions: PIH (Pregnancy Induced Hypertension, Preeclampsia, and Postpartum Hypertension)?
Is anyone tracking this human disaster?
Tragically, the emerging trend could negatively impact third world babies disproportionately, who do not have access to alternative feeding options…
NO WORRIES
As it happens in this world of problems and solutions, help has arrived. Bill Gates has donated millions to address the formula shortage and low milk crisis. He has contributed generously to a new company, Biomilq.

Biomilq uses mammary biotechnology to make “human milk”.
How mammary biotechnology works
The mammary cells are fed culture media, a mixture that provides similar nutrients to the cells that they would receive from a mother's bloodstream. The cells grow and multiply.

I need some good news to counteract all of the bad.
This is a situation, when it's not "better late than never." What's in breast milk?
