Alison Bechdel’s book Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic (2006) is a graphic memoir, That is to say, it is a memoir in comic strip form. The genre, which includes Maus by Art Spiegelman (1991) and Persepolis (2000) by Marjane Satrapi, is now commonly taught on English Literature courses.1
