Welcome 2023 and may this be our year!
I ended my last post at the time when popular music began its descent on me with the likes of Elton John, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Kiss and The Beatles.
My reading began to change course. Some specifically influenced by the lyrics of Elton John’s songs written by his long-time songwriting partner, Bernie Taupin. I remember being fascinated by the lyrics that came with the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road double album even though the music was what had attracted me to the songs in the first place. The music affected me differently than how reading a book made me feel.
