203 incredible artworks (Stills & Motion Graphics Videos ), representing 8 years of digital creativity, curated by Rob Moir & ArchanNair will be placed in one digital Collection and one exclusive Art book.
These are the creations of French artist, Yanis Georges, digital art director and 3D artist has spent the last decade experimenting with organic forms, both figurative and abstract.
He has brought simple shapes to life in almost shocking detail, where crystalline structures take on a semi-life of their own. If stones could move, if gems were creatures, if the inorganic could breathe and pulse like the organic, they would look like the wondrous and utterly alien constructions from the hand of Yanis.
In all his work, from the dramatic spikes of ice crystals to the microscopic view of almost cellular detail, Yanis plays with ambiguity. Which is abstraction, and which is flesh and bone? The artist keeps us guessing. After all, if we look at the real world close enough it becomes abstract and if we look at the abstract, it eventually devolves into what is quite natural.
What is beyond conjecture is the value of this body of work. Particularly since it will no longer exist on WEB 2.0 and will in fact be destroyed forever on that platform after being born again on WEB 3.0. This is a significant and dramatic transformation designed to reward the early 1 of 1 collectors.
The artist also hopes that this will make the collection more accessible for others.
