Super Tuesday.
It’s been real super here in Israel, so far, thanks. How about you?
It’s been fascinating to watch the entire world, right now, as it desperately contorts trying to create a paradigm that doesn’t exist. As if, by saying the lies often enough, they will change the reality. It was, appropriately, the Nazi party’s Joseph Goebbels or Adolf Hitler himself who said if you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it.
Sure seems that way.
They’re trying to say UNRWA, the UN organization which has now been found to be 20% Hamas, and whose Hamas operatives were actually involved in perpetrating October 7, and who were found to have missile launchers and weapons inside many of their UNRWA facilities including hospitals and schools, and of whom just today they found even more unbearably damning audio, is a good organization, with just a few bad apples, and we should continue to funnel money through them. Even though UNRWA head Philippe Lazzarini finally admitted they do work with Hamas because, “Our employees are part of the social fabric in Gaza and its ecosystem. And as part of the social fabric in Gaza, you also have Hamas.” Sure, works for me.
They’re trying to convince us that NYT journalist Yousef Masoud and freelance NYT photojournalist Samar Abu Elouf, who just won George Polk Awards, didn’t infiltrate into Israel early in the morning of the October 7 massacres, or that they did, but that wasn’t their job per se. Just their extracurricular activity.
And that it’s fine, as was revealed earlier today, that the BBC journalist associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps reported on the deadly Gazan humanitarian aid fiasco — and in whom we all placed credibility for reporting objectively on it — because, shucks, there is no such thing as bias, or at least none that the BBC knows about.
And they want us to believe that only some of Hamas are terrorists, and the rest are just peace-loving Hamas politicians, even though Hamas itself has denied this, acknowledging that they’re all Hamas, all unified in their intent to destroy Israel and Jews everywhere. They say it themselves. The world chooses not to believe.
Then they want us to believe that just a handful of Gazans and Palestinians support Hamas, even though polling consistently shows us that 87%+ of Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem Palestinians support Hamas. And that all of the recent terrorist attacks in Israel have come from those Hamas-supporting West Bank and East Jerusalem Palestinians. No surprise there.
They are trying to make the case that it is only Hamas that is a terrorist organization, as opposed to the Palestinian Authority, who are upstanding. Except that the PA wouldn’t take the Israeli tax funds even though they so desperately needed the money, because Israel, post October 7, didn’t want to also hand monies over to Hamas in Gaza. (How unreasonable.) And in fact, if there was doubt, this week, Hamas is in Russia with the Palestinian Authority, cozily discussing a unity government.
They want us to let 150,000 West Bank Palestinians work inside Israel, even though 17,000 Gazans working inside Israel on October 7 turned out to be a bad idea, giving Hamas the intelligence details it needed to not only mount a successful incursion, but to know which Israeli homes had kids sleeping in which rooms, and which households had cute girls, so they would know where to focus their murdering and raping.
They’re trying to convince us to hatch a two-state solution, when Hamas has publicly and repeatedly proclaimed they want to repeat October 7 over and over again, and that they want a one-state solution, of just Palestinians, from the river to the sea. And unlike the squealing giddy American college student protesters, they actually know exactly which river, and which sea.
They want us to think Hamas is fighting a war legally and morally, the way they expect Israel to fight, but they’re closing their ears to Hamas tactics, which include using recorded voices of hostages to lure Israeli troops into traps.
(Normal countries protect their civilians by hiding them behind their weapons. Hamas protects its weapons by hiding them behind their civilians.)
The U.S. is insisting that Israel go to the negotiating table with Hamas for a “temporary” ceasefire and that Israel not finish clearing out Rafah in Gaza (even though Hamas, undeterred, just took responsibility for firing on Israel from Lebanon. Even though Hamas continues to fire missiles daily. Even though Hamas still holds civilian hostages - many of whom are feared dead.)
And the U.S. urged Israel to allow “peaceful” Palestinian worship at al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan - while Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh called for all Palestinians to march to the site and storm it. (Ever wonder if maybe you’re talking to the wrong side?)
And in the U.S., instead of horror and dismay at mental illness that causes someone to set themselves on fire — because my God, mentally healthy people do not set themselves on fire! — we’re seeing support for airman Aaron Bushnell’s act of ‘courage’ and ‘protest.’
About Bushnell’s action, independent presidential candidate Cornel West said, “Let us rededicate ourselves to genuine solidarity with Palestinians undergoing genocidal attacks in real time!” Green Party’s Jill Stein said Bushnell’s“sacrifice” should “deepen our commitment to stop genocide now.” Egyptian-American activist Aya Hijazi called Bushnell a “a hero and a martyr.”
(This act, by the way, is almost definitely a precursor to US domestic suicide terrorism, aka ‘globalize the intifada,’ but no one seems to even be discussing this likely progression.)
And Vice President Kamala Harris Monday calling for Hamas to agree to a six-week cease-fire proposal, and Israel to increase humanitarian aid. As if that’s fair - as if she’s asking each side to do something. But really, she’s asking Israel to both increase aid and agree to a ceasefire. When is the US, or indeed, anyone in the world, going to demand that Israel gets its 100+ hostages back - alive? Why does Israel get the stick, and Hamas the carrot, again and again?
And this US demand makes it sounds as if Israel has been the roadblock in facilitating humanitarian aid - how about a call on Hamas to desist from stealing the aid? How about asking Hamas to stop firing at Gazan civilians trying to collect the aid? How about even noticing that before October 7, there was no problem with humanitarian aid?
And that’s not even examining all the many things Hamas is prevaricating about. Or the fact that Hamas supporters worldwide vacillate between glorifying October 7, which Hamas captured on video, and denying that it ever happened.
Sound like Holocaust denial, anyone?
And the UN, that came very close this week to just completely sweeping the Hamas’ October 7 beyond-perverted sexual crimes of women and minors under the rug? Even though we know those same sexual atrocities are likely still happening to our hostages? Because obviously, the UN cares so much about women and children. Except when they’re ours.
And Iran? Iran claims they aren’t involved at all. Even though Iran just publicly green-lighted a Lebanese war with Israel.
And everywhere they chant “from the river to the sea” and “globalize the intifada” — and then express mild surprise and doubt, and little concern, when told they are calling for death to all Israelis and Jews. Nor do they stop. But they’re not antisemitic.
Each one of these items is damning.
Together they are preposterous.
And black is white.
Black is white.
Black is white.
Maybe if I say it often enough it will be true.
Have a Super Tuesday.
