Overcome obstacles, conquer your dreams
It's not the size of the obstacle that matters, but the willpower we have to overcome it

Contrary to what you might think, life's obstacles are not your privilege. We all have them, some bigger, some more minor, but a life without them would be meaningless. In other words, winning everything hand in hand and effortlessly has no value; it doesn't motivate or make you want to chase big dreams.
Every day, week, and month that goes by new challenges are placed in our path, from simple things - for some - to very complex movements for others. Today I take the liberty of using this space to tell you about an obstacle I faced last Friday (10th) and to leave you with five tips that could help you overcome your ghosts.

I even know what you must be thinking, then tell me if I got it right or not, agreed? The answer to what's been hammering in your head is obvious: "if it were easy, anyone would do it".
We've already talked about this around here and sometimes repeating the obvious becomes necessary. That is, the least you won't find around here, and in life, our facilities. But there are some tips you can follow to help tackle these hurdles. Are they:
Keep a positive attitude;
Be clear about your goals;
Find support from friends and family;
Learn resilience and adaptability to overcome obstacles;
Focus on the solution and not the problem.
“Do what needs to be done, with or without fear, face it!”
What might be challenging for me might not be for you. I have a lot of trouble making videos. Also, the imposter syndrome kicks in: I don't like my voice, I don't think I look good on video, and I'll be making a fool of myself in front of the camera. So here it is, I'll tell you the part I did that needed to be done last Friday (10).

Keep a positive attitude
It won't do any good if you go in to do anything, already thinking it won't work. However, that doesn't mean you need to throw yourself headlong into everything without even feeling the ground you're stepping on.
Otherwise, sorry, but it's stupid.
A positive attitude already puts you at an advantage against your pessimistic competitor. You are more willing to pursue your dreams, and your goals and face the obstacles that life will put in your way, with a learning experience and not a problem.
Believe me or not, positive thinking makes you healthier. In addition, “positivism increases human immunity and helps in the treatment of severe diseases”, says Sulivan França, in an article published on November 13, 2019, on the website of SLAC (Sociedade Latinoamericana de Coaching).
Be clear about your goals
If you don't know what you want yet, it's good to spend a good amount of time in your day, week, and month if necessary to find out. If not, maybe people will decide for you what they believe they know is best. However, this best may be for them and not for you.
"Dream with your head in the clouds, but don't take your feet off the ground."
So calm that anxious little heart of yours and share your goals so that they are more easily achieved. Also, to use a word of the day, your goals may seem less overwhelming. Soon, the chance of you being unmotivated and disappointed with expectations will be much smaller.
Allow yourself to celebrate your small successes along the way. Likewise, it is the way for you to remain motivated to overcome obstacles and reach your goal.
Find support from friends and family
Here, pay special attention to those you call friends because believe me, there are many of them down there under the cliff waiting for you to fall. Then they'll run to you asking if you're all right and patting you on the back, offering sympathy but rejoicing inwardly.
Pay attention to those who are on the edge of this same precipice, extending their hand to help get you out of this situation. As well as family members and professionals who are trained to help you see the situation from another paradigm.
People need people, to keep a healthy network, those who row in the same direction and with similar goals. It's less tiring and your energy is renewed with each exchange of ideas, and insights that appear. To attend.
Learn resilience and adaptability to overcome obstacles
I'm good at many things, today I can see it in a way that I don't think I'm above good and evil. Also, I don't think I'm better than you reading me. I have so many things to learn yet, just like you.
Now, being resilient is something I understand in practice and in the best way, on the battlefield. But you can use any of the three definitions an excellent online dictionary, uses:
Natural ability to recover from an adverse, problematic situation; resilience;
The capacity of those who adapt to bad weather, alterations, or misfortunes; stoicism;
The natural tendency to easily recover or overcome problems that arise.
The important thing here is not how much you get hit or how many times you get up. On the contrary, it's how much you learn from the falls you take and what adaptability you have to overcome these falls and absorb the teachings.
But there's always the option, when you fall, of going to cry in bed in the fetal position, which is warmer and much easier. The choices and responsibilities are always yours.
Focus on the solution and not the problem
Problems appear for some reason, those that are out of your control and that there is no point in despairing, are not your responsibility. However, there are problems that yes, are our choices, the poor execution of a project, poor planning, and much more.
Look there saying the obvious again: it is best to anticipate and resolve before it becomes a problem. Now it happened, the focus is no longer on that situation itself. That is, attention must be focused on solving this problem, aligning what needs to be redone, organizing what is out of place, lowering your head, and working to solve it.
Pay attention to those five steps above and obstacles will be much easier to overcome. Your journey will be lighter and you will be able to learn more from every obstacle that stands in your way.
See, live, and win
My teenage son says I'm old, which isn't entirely untrue, but I still don't suffer from forgetfulness. So, as promised, I'm going to tell you briefly about an obstacle I faced last February 10th.
“What is easy for you may be extremely difficult for me.”
I was invited by Jéssica Lugão, Therapist, and Mentor of Women and Relationships for life on Instagram after a mentorship I had with her. Or would it be consulting? A coaching session? The order of the factors does not change the product, as the math teachers said.
Anyway, this is something that terrifies me, because if that wasn't enough, the video part also has public speaking. That is, for a group of people who will be sitting there listening to what you have to say, watching your gestures, your speech, everything. One more aggravating factor there, Your Honor: I allow myself to be vulnerable to tell a little of my story.
Different from what I would have done in the past, which was to say thank you, to invent an excuse and not a solution to face my fears and ghosts head-on, this time I accepted. I used the logic of “if you're scared, go scared”.
It's not about courage. It's about not letting more opportunities walk through your door.
It's not the challenges that stop you from achieving your dreams, it's your fears. Face them and show yourself that obstacles are just another way to get more polished and prepared for your goals. Also, the comments section is not an embarrassment, it can be an opportunity for you to increase your networking. Use it!
