Overcoming: I went, I did and I won
The courage to speak overcomes the fear of making mistakes, but overcoming it is not as easy as it seems, but it is also not impossible when we aim to evolve

Life goes round, simple as that. Overcoming our limits makes us want to go further. However, it is important not to settle for “now it's good”. Let the comfort zone be our bed when we rest our bodies and mind.
This last weekend I spent two days locked up (just to get more dramatic) in a hotel in the city of Porto Alegre. But contrary to what you might think, it wasn't to relax, on the contrary, it was a test of overcoming my limits, my patience, and above all, corroborating what my grandmother always said: "the tongue is the whip from the tail”. It is a saying well known by the ancients who live in the south of Brazil.

Some positive points of overcoming
As a matter of fact, my grandmother liked to use another expression, but I won't repeat it here. Old Fernando is furious down in the basement because he would never admit to going to spend two days in a hotel, in an immersion on personal development. Imagine going deeper into self-knowledge and doing what Novo Fernando did on Saturday. However, I believe this left some positive points:
High self-confidence and self-esteem;
Personal development;
More opportunities;
Resilience.
There is nothing easy about overcoming it, only those who need to fight to take a bigger step to know the monsters they need to fight. As well as dealing with a churning stomach, trembling legs, and sweat pouring from the body like a river spring. Also, the shame.
Now, when you decide to be congruent, here's the thing: do what needs to be done, get your ass out of the chair. That is, even if they mess with their monsters and make you feel sensations that you will never want to visit them again. Yes, I cried with rage, a lot of rages, it destabilized me and I wanted to run away. But that's not why I decided to spend the two days there. Anyway, what I learned and felt was more important.

High self-confidence and self-esteem
When you propose to evolve, to overcome your limits and your beliefs that limit you so much, it doesn't make you better or worse than those who are not yet prepared. Don't think you're more than you are, a little humility never hurt anyone.
However, when you go, you do it because you are one step away from winning. As well as someone who goes beyond their limits and beliefs, it is inevitable that they will not leave different from when they entered. You will leave more self-confident and consequently with better self-esteem and the result is a greater sense of accomplishment and happiness.
“The victory of the other authorizes mine.”
That's how I left on Saturday, the first day of the immersion: accomplished, happy, and more confident of what I'm capable of. I was also sure that we all are when we want to be.
Personal development
It's moments like these that make me wonder: why didn't I do this sooner? Simple, because it wasn't the time, maybe I lacked maturity and a lot of self-knowledge (in bold because it was the key to everything).
Nor will I deny that I am concerned about lost time, how much I could be one step ahead, one step higher, and be better personally developed. However, the shot arrow, the spoken word, and the lost time do not go back, but since I don't plan to die tomorrow, I run after it.
An addendum: I will not run after anything or anyone, but I will seek what is mine in fact and by right. What the universe has for me and I only postponed.
Overcoming limits and our beliefs undoubtedly lead us to personal growth and unique learning. When we face our fears and challenge what limits us, we discover new skills, interests, and passions. And I confess, what happened that Saturday afternoon turned on a light that I can't imagine letting go out.
Success brings more opportunities
When you climb one more step or overcome one more challenge, your vision is automatically expanded. There's no way to go back, there's no way to want to go back to the little box you were used to.
You've heard more than once that the sun rises for everyone, just as opportunities are there, waiting for you to open your eyes and grab them. Regardless of your age, Imersão 10x Mais once again proved this with excellence.
Write it down, it won't hurt anything, I guarantee: by overcoming limits and beliefs, you can expand your horizons and be more open to new opportunities and experiences. In addition, it is the possibility of leading a richer and more fulfilling life. Do not close your eyes to this.
Resilience
Allow yourself, free yourself, and overcome your beliefs. Also, expand your limits, and don't settle for waiting for life to pass. From the past you only bring good memories, but don't let them hold you back, rather, they warm your heart and make you want to evolve more. Also, learn from mistakes so as not to repeat them in the future.
In most, live now, it's the gift that's worth it. What you decide to accomplish today will shape your future. In other words, he is famous if he reaps what he sows, he has no secrets, no magic, and no tricks. It's waking up performing a PBC*, doing what has to be done and that's it.
*pull your butt off the chair
The more you make overcoming your limits a constancy, the more resilient you will be. In other words, more prepared to deal with difficult and stressful situations that are waiting for you at the next level.
I'm not a trunk to keep a secret
If you've come this far, it's a sign that you're curious to know where I went, what I did, and why I won. I would say in the past that curiosity is a female gift, but I think it's better this way:
"Curiosity is the flame that makes us human."
Do you know why Old Fernando is so angry down in the basement? I tell you that you've read this far, because many didn't even get past the second paragraph, and before I cared, now what if… Oops, let's go back.
He was afraid of public speaking and I brought up this problem with Novo Fernando. However, I was given a great opportunity to launch my book - which you can find here - and for that, I needed to face myself.
“People are not afraid to speak in public, but they are afraid of failing and being exposed”, Jackson Marques, one of the speakers at Imersão 10x Mais, said. It took 44 years to hear this and understand that it is the purest truth. And the greater your self-knowledge, the more limiting beliefs are losing space in your life.
Result: seeming simple for some, it can disturb others, just like going on stage and talking to a bunch of people was something unthinkable. But on Saturday, March 19th, I did it, sweating profusely, shivering profusely, and stuttering. That is, I exposed myself to people I didn't know, raised my head, and did what needed to be done.
This overcoming already made my weekend worth it, I left with a taste of wanting more, with a bigger horizon ahead of me and one more step left behind. Which I won't revisit again. And you, what's missing to take the next step?

They say that the two biggest fears are #1 public speaking and #2 is death. So public speaking is worse than death. Good for you for overcoming your fears and diving deep into something challenging. I was a teacher for 30 years and I still find public speaking difficult. Yet, somehow I did it over and over again. We are stronger than we think.
