Seriously, that you are still guided by exceptions? Is it past time you knew - or at least you should - that exceptions exist, but will never rule. The most worrying thing is that you are 30, 40, or even 50 years old, and you are still sitting comfortably waiting for a miracle.
Have you not already spent a lot of money, believing in the countless promises of false gurus, saying that you would be a millionaire in 30 days? Also, that the internet would give you the freedom to work very little and with as little effort as possible? This can even happen, but they are perks for very few, as the vast majority work a lot and take about 10,000 hours to become an expert and reach the top. When you are guided not by exceptions but by rules, your chance of success grows exponentially.

Four reasons to stop being guided by exceptions
When we're not being driven by what's unusual, we're just looking at the neighbor's green grass. But at no time did we worry about knowing what he needed to do to get the result you are seeing.
You and I have no idea what that person, who is now at the top, had to give up to get where he is. How many hours and days did it take without being at parties, barbecues with friends, and socializing with family, for today to be envied and still have to hear that you were lucky? Would you be willing to break a sweat just the same, not sure you can make it?
If you want to go somewhere with solidity, even to withstand the rough seas of life, stop being guided by exceptions. Plus, when you follow rules, crucial to achieving goals and success, you still gain in the process:
Efficiency;
Consistency;
Predictability;
Those who are guided by exceptions are not safe.
In an article dated October 25, 2019, written by Luciano Döll, on the Faça Diferente website, he brings the statement by neurologist Daniel Levitin, who presents a “quite interesting number”:
“It takes 10,000 hours to become an expert professional.”
Not only at the level of Brazil, but these hours are necessary in an activity to “stand out in any country in the world”. That is, 3 hours a day, or 31 minutes less than most Brazilians spend on social media, according to an article by journalist Diogo Moreno, published on the Agência Visia website.

Efficiency
When you make a decision - that is, you take an action and stop being inertia - and decide to follow the rules, you start to be more efficient. So, if you don't know, you don't have the expertise and you're not a superstar in your area, start following the pre-established rules. Because believe me, it's usually more efficient than making decisions on a case-by-case basis, for example.
In addition, when we follow rules we can anticipate possible problems and have pre-established solutions to deal with them. In other words, you go from being reactive to being proactive. Soon, you save time and save resources, in addition, you will help more effectively in the activities carried out.
Consistency
It's cliché, yes. But the only place where success trumps work is in the dictionary. Otherwise, it's waking up every day already getting your ass out of the chair and doing what needs to be done, firmly believing that routine and consistency go hand in hand and don't let go of each other's hands.
It's driven by exceptions those who are lazy, who don't mature, and who believe that taking shortcuts will take you further. Make a mistake, grasshopper, what will take you further is precisely doing what has to be done, day after day, rain or shine. And that's where the men are separated from the boys, who believe that everything should be within reach.
Predictability
When the rule is clear, in addition to being well defined, it is easier for everyone to understand what is expected of them in different situations. Just like, you know what needs to be done to reach your goals and goals.
You don't run the risk of sitting around waiting for opportunities to knock on your door, or waiting for inspiration to arrive, for example. That is, you will be prepared and ready for the challenges that will come to you.
Here I speak from my own experience, where I spent years thinking that the world was against me, that I was unlucky and opportunities never passed by. The neighbor had the greenest grass and with me, it was that nobody loves me, nobody wants me.
“I do not have luck. It will always be easier to regret than to act.”
When I stopped leading my life through exceptions, waiting for the miracle or that magic trick, things became more predictable. Just as I worked, and dedicated myself, opportunities began to appear.
Opportunities were always at my doorstep, but because I was more concerned with looking for the man who invented the job or finding an excuse, I didn't see them. A little proactivity won't hurt.
Those who are guided by exceptions are not safe
The exception, as you may know, is an unusual state or circumstance, that is, there won't be two Pelés, two Sennas, and not two you. We are unique in what is perfect and in imperfection.
Now, we can get close to or reach levels of excellence in what we've done, in our personal and professional lives, sweating a lot, seeking to perfect ourselves and improve in what we have the most difficulties with. Why will we go into rough seas relying only on luck, if the rules are there precisely to bring us greater security on our journey?
Most importantly, rules also help us make decisions with greater confidence and responsibility. As well as protecting ourselves and others from possible harm.
You make your choices
But if you've come this far and thought it was all silly, that's fine. Maybe now it's more interesting to watch those sensual and educational dances on Tik Tok. Or rather, those gurus who show up with rented sports cars saying you too can be a millionaire in 30 days.
Now if you are not guided by exceptions, but by the rules of the game and believe that it takes a lot of resignation to prosper and you already get your ass out of the chair to do what needs to be done every day, congratulations. You have started to germinate something different and valuable for your harvest going forward. Finally, I continue to believe that rules were created to be followed. And you, what do you think of this?

I agree that it’s wise to follow examples which are tried and tested, but some people prefer to forge their own path. These are the innovators of the world and we need them as well to move society forward and make the world a better place. Myself, I am not a risk taker, so I would tend to follow the rules.
