We truly believed this…
I was born in the 40s-50s-60s. I grew up in the 50s-60s-70s. I studied in the 60s-70s-80s. I dated in the 70s-80s-90s. I got married and discovered the world in the 70s-80s-90s. I ventured into the 80s-90s. I stabilized in the 2000s. I became wiser in 2010. And I am firmly moving beyond 2020. It seems like I live in eight different decades... TWO different centuries... TWO separate millennials...
I have gone from telephone with a long-distance operator to video calls anywhere in the world. I've gone from slides to YouTube, vinyl records to online music, handwritten letters to email and WhatsApp. From live game radio to black and white television, to color television and then to 3D HD television. I went to the video store, and now I watch Netflix.
I met the first computers, punched cards, floppy disks, and now I have gigabytes and megabytes on my smartphone. I wore shorts all my childhood and then trousers, oxfords, rockets, full shells, and blue jeans. I dodged infantile paralysis, meningitis, polio, tuberculosis, swine flu and now COVID-19. I used to ride roller skates, tricycles, bicycles, mopeds, gasoline, or diesel cars, and now I drive hybrids or electric cars.
Yes, I've been through a lot, but what a life I've had! You could describe me as an "exemplar," someone born in that world of the fifties, who had an analog childhood and digital adulthood. I'm like, "I've seen it all"! My generation has literally lived and witnessed more than anyone else in all dimensions of life. It is our generation that has literally adapted to "CHANGE." A big round of applause to all the members of a very special generation, which will be UNIQUE!
And helped create wonders and wars…
What Will You Change…
How will you change your world. If I give you a blank piece of paper, what will you write? Or does the analogy not make any sense to you? The point of reference will be ‘your’ age, I don’t know how old you are, but I know that your response to the question and image will depend on your ‘age’. Do you want to make a difference, or do you feel too old or too young or have given up?
Everyone uses memory and current thought to try and make sense of the world. It’s when our beliefs based on the combination of current reality, memories and future wishes collide with current reality of the world! The result of this mental and emotional conflict between wishes, memories and future desires causes dis-ease!
