❄ True Detective: Night Country - I've finished the series now. I found it very enjoyable. It's probably my third favourite out of the four True Detective stories so far. Jodie Foster's always great, but I thought Kali Reis was brilliant. I think I'll need some time to make my mind up about the ending, and my processing of the show will probably benefit from a binge rewatch. Definitely recommended.

🔴🟠🔵🟣 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem - the kids were off for half term and stayed with me an extra couple of nights. On one of those nights we watched this animated movie. Similar in style to the Spider-Verse animated movies, this took a lot of the lore and tipped it on its head. Packed with famous voices, this movie was a lot of fun, entertaining all three of us (ages 44, 11, 8) - if you need to keep the kids engaged for an hour and a half, there are worse ways to do it.

⏰ - Groundhog Day - I couldn't resist it, what with 2nd February just gone. This is a movie I can watch over and over... just not every day!

❄ - Fargo Season 5 - I finally caught the last episode and while it went in an unexpected direction, it was excellent. A true return to form for this show and Juno Temple has been consistently brilliant in it. Highly recommended.

👩🏻‍💼👨🏻‍💼 - The Apprentice (UK) - for years I promised myself I was done, that I couldn't keep putting myself through another season of obnoxious cartoon characters dressed as business people, stabbing each other in the back on their way to being forgotten. Years ago I managed to break free of the show, but in 2023 my daughter nudged me back into the vortex and here I am again in 2024, watching a new wave of pricks begging for Lord Alan Sugar's favour. Every one of these contestants makes me want to spew. I love it. I hate it.

👨‍💼 - The Office (US) - I'd never watched this series, having only seen (and really enjoyed) the UK Ricky Gervais original. I was told the US version goes on to basically become a thing of its own and it does so very quickly. I've been pleasantly surprised with it, but I have to admit I had to force myself through the first few episodes - my reaction to the excruciatingly cringey antics of Steve Carell's Michael Scott was so severe that I almost gave up in the first episode. Glad I stuck with it though and at time of posting I'm halfway through season 2.
