These are dark and crazy times. I have to pass a house with two lawn signs for "Harris" where they obviously just cut "Biden" off the top and so, half a sign. But the worst part, on the same lawn, between the halves supporting Kamala, is a four foot sign with Franklin's statement "A republic if you can keep it." I am so tempted to stop by and find out where the disconnect lies, but honestly, whoever lives there scares me more than the many outrageous displays of yard demons for the upcoming "Trick or Treat."

Kinda interesting quote to choose given those same people who love Harris often call us a democracy and get angry when you point out we're a representative republic. And also, they are the ones who want no borders, no culture, a global existence... so that would be anti-republic. Stupid idiots, don't even understand their own virtue signaling.

It may be a representative republic, but those elected representatives do not in any significant shape or form represent you or I. They all represent their corporate sponsors who have bought off both parties. The border only exists to keep you and I in. Seriously, pledging allegiance to a foreign country in order to take office here in the US. Ridiculous.

Expand full comment

I'm not a member or supporter of AIPAC. So before any of you jump on what I'm about to write here because my last name is Cohen, listen up to the facts I will supply that have nothing to do with my genetic inheritance.

There is nothing in this bill about not being able to criticize Israel, or calling for allegiance to Israel. On the contrary, the working definition of antisemitism given by the IHRA says - "criticism of Israel similar to that leveled against any other country cannot be regarded as antisemitic."

Also, "trackaipac" makes the scurrilous and thoroughly disproven charge of genocide against Israel and the IDF, when the exact opposite is true. Israel is fighting against agents of genocide directed towards Israel, combatants who deliberately hide underground and amongst civilians they hope will be killed when they themselves are the targets of elimination. Trackaipac and its supporters are the jihadists "useful idiots" if not jihadists themselves.

This much is obvious to anyone paying any attention to the facts on the ground, but apparently there are actual antisemites here who find the facts stubborn little things inconvenient to their personal animosities. Therefore they disregard reality and replace it with fantastic lies fed by their delusion.

Vote all you want for cessation of arm sales and support to Israel, but you can do that without lying and being vile racists. That's on you and you are reaping what you sow.

Well said! THANK YOU for educating the useful idiots. I guess it's not entirely their fault--the media and those who would like Israel destroyed are running a very slick anti-Israel propaganda con and they've fooled a lot of otherwise decent people. I do hope that those who've bought the lies will read--and re-read--what you have written here and will now understand the true situation.

Complete and utter BS.

Israel is an apartheid state (per Amnesty Internation, Human Rights Watch, and most important B't Selem, an ISRAELI human rights group).

Before Oct 07, Kim Iverson, hardly a radical, did podcasts from the occupied West Bank, where she discussed life for the Palestinians, having their land, water, homes, and even lives taken, and subject to checkpoints and arbitrary arrest at any time, for any reason.

Desmond Tutu of South Africa said the Palestinians had it worse than the Blacks in SA during apartheid.

Israel does not like being an apartheid state and has not liked it. They are not going to give the Palestinians equal rights, so they are trying to eliminate the Palestinians. The plan was to use Oct 07 as a pretext to kill quite a few of them, render Gaza uninhabitable, and make the Palestinians leave Gaza, and then repeat in the West Bank.

The Israelis have killed a lot of Palestinians and rendered Gaza largely uninhabitable, but it appears the Palestinians have realized that if they leave, like they did in 1948 or 1967, they will never return, so they are holding on.

The only lies are the blatant lies of Israelis ("they bayoneted babies!") debunked by several. Then we have the blatant lies of the media, and lies of omission by the mainstream media and even CFN.

The true situation is that Israel wants to eliminate the Palestinians, and that the US/Israel want to have hegemony over the Middle East, by making sure other countries are either US puppets, or totally impotent.

JHK has had some good guests of stature, who are not popular with the MSM, Dmitry Orlov comes to mind. But they didn't discuss Israel, the discussed the US and compared to the USSR. Russia survived the implosion--will America?

Why doesn't JHK invite Prof. John Mearsheimer on his podcast, to discuss what is REALLY going on? Or Max Blumenthal? Perhaps some of you might learn something.

How is it that Trump and Harris, most Republicans and Democrats, blindly support Israel? Miriam Adelson boasts of how much Trump did for Israel, and that's why she is donating $100 million to PACs; Haim Saban does the same for K Harris and donates $40 million.

Israel's stated goals were to eliminate Hamas and "recover the hostages. The unstated goal is to ethnically cleanse Gaza. Israel has failed on all counts. So Israel is now attacking Lebanon and doing what it does best, killing civilians. Israel is also escalating with Iran, as Israel wants to draw the US in.

And that's why Adelson and Saban and the Israeli Lobby have bought the US government. To make sure the US does what Israel wants.

We will see, if the internet stays up, and is still relatively free (note that CFN has not come back...) what people will have to say, if and when the attack on Iran leads to massive war that affects the US directly, or indirectly topples the house of cards here.

Ah, Desmond Tutu - here's a response to Tutu's claim of Israel committing genocide written some years ago while that little poseur was still self-righteously walking the earth and bamboozling the ignorant and credulous. Written by Simon Deng, a Sudanese man who, in his childhood, experienced his village being destroyed by jihadists with himself captured and sold into horribly degrading slavery. He escaped after 2.5 years.

"Where is Desmond Tutu when my people in Sudan call out for freedom?

"Late last month, I went to hear Bishop Desmond Tutu speak at Boston's Old South Church at a conference on "Israel Apartheid." Tutu is a well respected man of God. He brought reconciliation between blacks and whites in South Africa. That he would lead a conference that damns the Jewish state is very disturbing to me.

"The State of Israel is not an apartheid state. I know because I write this from Jerusalem where I have seen Arab mothers peacefully strolling with their families -- even though I also drove on Israeli roads protected by walls and fences from Arab bullets and stones. I know Arabs go to Israeli schools, and get the best medical care in the world. I know they vote and have elected representatives to the Israeli Parliament. I see street signs in Arabic, an official language here. None of this was true for blacks under Apartheid in Tutu's South Africa.

"I also know countries that do deserve the apartheid label: My country, Sudan, is on the top of the list, but so are Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. What has happened to my people in Sudan is a thousand times worse than Apartheid in South Africa. And no matter how the Palestinians suffer, they suffer nothing compared to my people. Nothing. And most of the suffering is the fault of their leaders. Bishop Tutu, I see black Jews walking down the street here in Jerusalem. Black like us, free and proud.

"Tutu said Israeli checkpoints are a nightmare. But checkpoints are there because Palestinians are sent into Israel to blow up and kill innocent women and children. Tutu wants checkpoints removed. Do you not have doors in your home, Bishop? Does that make your house an apartheid house? If someone, Heaven forbid, tried to enter with a bomb, we would want you to have security people "humiliating" your guests with searches, and we would not call you racist for doing so. We all go through checkpoints at every airport. Are the airlines being racist? No.

"Yes, the Palestinians are inconvenienced at checkpoints. But why, Bishop Tutu, do you care more about that inconvenience than about Jewish lives?

"Bishop, when you used to dance for Mandela's freedom, we Africans -- all over Africa -- joined in. Our support was key in your freedom. But when children in Burundi and Kinshasa, all the way to Liberia and Sierra Leone, and in particular in Sudan, cried and called for rescue, you heard but chose to be silent.

"Today, black children are enslaved in Sudan, the last place in the continent of Africa where humans are owned by other humans -- I was part of the movement to stop slavery in Mauritania, which just now abolished the practice. But you were not with us, Bishop Tutu.

"So where is Desmond Tutu when my people call out for freedom? Slaughter and genocide and slavery are lashing Africans right now. Where are you for Sudan, Bishop Tutu? You are busy attacking the Jewish state. Why?"

Look, Israel is special. The Israeli Lobby, consisting of wealthy Zionist Jews (American ANDS Israeli) and fanatic religious zealots (Jews and "Christians") controls virtually all key US government officials, including both Presidential candidates.

Israel is a racist society, whether people here like it or not. It's like a very hard version of the Deep South, circa 1910.

But it's not just the native Arabs whom the Israeli Jews view as sub-human. It is apparently ALL goyim.

I just stumbled across this story about David Bogdanovsky. You can't make this stuff up...

He was a solidier doing his part to eliminate the Palestinians of Gaza., he was apparently killed in action in Gaza. Neither of which should surprise anyone.

But this? I had to Google it. Below is an excerpt from the Jerusalem Post, Oct 22. I hope that is OK.

"The Defense Ministry is attempting to reach an agreement with the family of St.-Sgt. David Bogdanovsky, KIA, to remove a cross from his headstone.

“By law, it is not permissible to place a cross or any other religious marker on a MILITARY headstone,” the Ministry said.

The Ministry cited a ruling by the IDF Chief Rabbi that states the holiness of the Jewish cemetery is harmed by the cross.

The Ministry said it is working with the public committee for soldier memorial to reach an agreement with the family, “in light of requests by families whose loved ones are buried nearby who claim that the cross hurts their feelings and their ability to pray and say [the] Kadish [mourning prayer], and in light of the ruling of the IDF chief Rabbi.” "

Fascinating! This man died killing indigenous Arabs for the Jewish State, but this does not entitle his remains to be interred in a appropriately. The goyim are not worthy. Goyim. Like Untermensch. Let's salute "the only democracy in the Middle East"!

Another proof that, sadly, the UN Resolution 3379, passed in 1975, saying "Zionism is Racism" is true.

Now, I'm not saying the US should give Israel an ultimatum to stop the war on the Palestinians, and either give them equal rights or give them the entire West Bank and Gaza, or else our big bad Air Force will put an end to it.

But I do find it very offensive and disappointing that my tax money is enabling this racist behavior. Isn't it time to put America first?

When this Middle East war plays out, I foresee Israel will, like South Africa, grudgingly give the Palestinians equal rights.

This war will be a big setback, perhaps even a defeat, for the US. Consequently, the US will no longer be able to indulge Israel--or even secure AMERICAN interests. That oil is gonna be shared with others... just as the fracking miracle dries up.

And today's Israel is not the Israel of Moshe Dayan, of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Israelis have grown affluent and soft, like the big PX that sustains them. They are vicious, but not tough like they used to be. They will NOT commit suicide by blowing up the world to save their apartheid regime.

We will never know if an honest two-state solution, as imperfect as it would be, might have delayed, or even prevented, the tragedy we are seeing and the much greater debacles to come from the Middle East. Biblical.

Israel never wanted a two-state solution. Well, my Israeli friends, as your hero Miriam Adelson would say, "promise kept!". Enjoy your day--and my apologies for the long the post.

"ΕΝ ΟΙΔΑ ΟΤΙ ΟΥΔΕΝ ΟΙΔΑ"

The older I get, the more I learn, the more I realize how much I do not really know.... I learn one thing and feel that there are one or two things that I don't know that are relevant. Probably why my posts are so long here...

Still, I do know a few things.

One saying I like: good fences make good neighbors.

That seems to me to be the best prescription for getting along, with less fuss or bloodshed. A more humane way.

Liquidating your enemies does not work as well as it appears to. Nations, like people, need boundaries and limits. Absent that, when nations (or people) think they can get away with anything, their greed for "more" in the end leads to their demise.

I believe that is the destiny of the USA, as it hits 250 years, give or take a few.

Since Lincoln, even more so after 1913, and completely since WW2, the US government has been directed by the nefarious forces of big money from behind the scenes. A veneer of a republic under the control of big capital and big business and their agents known as "special interests".

War, debt, depravity, the dumbing down of the public, all reflect the wishes of the globalists to impose one-world government, and to be "God" (the biggest sin). Now, as they enter the final straightaway, the globalists have "floored it" and added wokeism, then the plandemic and mRNA injections, and now in an effort to subordinate Russia and increase economic control over China, TWO wars with Apocalyptic WW3 potential, one a pure proxy play against Russia using Ukraine, the other an unholy alliance joining hard-core Zionists and the US government against Iran in an effort to keep China and Russia out of the Middle East.

I can see the hazy outlines of those two conflicts merging, or shifting south, across the Black Sea (with all of Turkey's intrigues, plans against Greece, trying to upstage Iran, barking at Israel), and maybe China blockading Taiwan, and perhaps Egypt/Somalia fighting Ethiopia over the most valuable resource for life--water, the Nile.

We can endlessly debate the root causes of America's, impending, or for that matter, ROME's actual demise.

In the case of Rome, was it imperial overreach? Debasement of the currency? Corruption? The absorption of "non-Roman" subjects into the Empire in general, and important positions, like officers or officials in particular? Bloody conflicts between warring factions at the top? The blood of all the Christians?

Probably all of the above. Was one or two of these ills the main reason(s)? People who have studied Roman history (and that is not me) can intelligently debate this. I think they all fed on each other. I personally used to be a big proponent of "currency debasement", but who knows.

"Lugh", it appears to me that you and I agree on more things than we disagree.

I try to listen to what people are presenting. I look at whatever evidence they present, and this issue with Israel is disturbing. What I see quite often is people who have spent a LOT of time in an echo chamber. They refuse to look at anything that doesn't fit with their preferred narrative. This works quite well for moving the elite's plan forward because as long as people refuse to look at what others have to show them, they will continue on the elite's path of mutually assured destruction.

It's become too convoluted for me to do anything more than sit on the sidelines and watch it all play out.

Note that it is the left's adherents who were burning, looting, and shooting a few years ago...it was not the conservative "deplorables" (per HRC et al) who took to the streets. Kamala Harris finally breaks down and visits a remote part of North Carolina.

With news crews following her around as they tour the place, the Vice President asks the local Mayor if there was anything they needed.

"Well," says the Mayor, "We have three very important needs.

"First, we have a medical clinic but no doctor to staff it."

Harris whips out her cellphone, dials a number, talks to somebody for two minutes, and then hangs up. "I've pulled some strings. Your doctor will arrive in a few days. Now, what was the second problem?"

"We have no way to get clean water. The hurricane has poisoned the water our people have been drinking for dozens of years. We've been flying bottled water in, and it's terribly expensive."

Once again, Harris dials a number, yells into her cellphone for a few minutes, and then hangs up. "I've opened some roads for water delivery, and we are setting up a water purification plant for your people. Now, what was that third problem?"

The Mayor looks at her and says, "We have no cellphone reception up here!"

The City Administrator of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Stephanie Hirsch, breezed in last year and unilaterally ordered up some Congolese for her city. She expressed a vague sense of hurt feelings at the local reception of her decree ("Not great, Stephanie!"). Her father was a friend of mine . . . where did he go wrong in raising this clod of a daughter?

Eau Claire and other cities are also knocking together ugly, medium-density blocks of housing in empty store lots and such. They're all over the landscape here and in the Twin Cities. What the hell? Is this that bullshit Obama was planning?

Meanwhile, carjackings are up over 200% in Minnesota's Twin Cities. This must have something to do with "joy" and "turning the page," but I'm not sure what.

Not too sure I'd be all that proud of your DUI daughters. I've worked with a lot of doctors and they, as in the general college population, are not all that smarter than is the average college professor who knows quite a bit about his chosen subject but gets himself lost looking for one errant shoe that has wandered under his bed. Doctors credentials, like most of those professors degrees, are the result of persistence rather than intelligence. Given your rhetoric and the fact that both are the product of your loins, I suspect both fall under that rubric.

There was a KunstlerCast podcast earlier this year, while kunstler.com worked, with a doctor/surgeon. I do not recall his name, nor how one can find this very interesting and informative podcast.

The doctor referenced the Libby Zion Case, 1984, in New York. This case ultimately changed the medical intern regimen and made it easier, using the rationale that Libby Zion died because the interns were overworked. However, JHK's guest shared the view, according to many in the medical profession, that reducing the ardor of internships has led to doctors who are not as sharp as they used to be.

Reference the Libby Zion Case:

Yeah, well, that's just another result of what's been going on since the mid to late 1970s when, especially, but not limited to, self hating Jewish doctors saw that there was a disparity between the percentage of those with enhanced melanin in the population as opposed to those entering medical school and decided to decrease the rigor of the testing and establish quotas (read: giveaways) for those coveted spots. (Don't quote me, but I think that was about the time when they decided to change autopsy language for doctor induced death from malpractice to 'medical misadventure'. That way everybody's off the hook.)

Now, of course, we have doctors practicing who have to have interpreters in the room with them in order to communicate with English speakers.

America had seen this movie before. In the 60s and 70s, it was the intercity “projects” ostensibly to create “affordable housing for the disadvantaged.” Now, in retrospect, we know the projects were designed to become festering cesspools of hate and divisiveness, not the “failed experiment” all the politicians claimed years later. How do we know this? Because that was the outcome in each and every city across America. Still, Our resilient society mostly overcame all that despite the government’s post meddling.

Now, phase 2. Import 10 millions of refugees and plant them in cities with stretched budgets and already crumbling infrastructure. Bonus points for making the optics even more insulting by giving them funding and support not available to actual citizens. The game though is the same: destabilize thru misery and decisiveness. It’s purposeful treasonous actions against America passed off as political incompetence.

Exactly, now the developers are building actual 'Colonies'- raiding bases, razzia, in other words, such as the one near Houston- but the real C40 s.m.a.r.t. cities will not be shining megalopolises such as the planned Tri-City development meant for Netherlands farmland or the Lahaina pilot project. That's horse manure sold to the investor class to boost the IPO.

The real 'smart cities' will simply be designated ULEZ zones in already crumbling urbans such as Detroit. Apartment blocs and Section 8 built under Obama's HUD directive in abandoned lots, or repurposed large buildings. The immigrant migration invasion authorities are already grabbing whatever old properties they can- a huge, vacated former paint factory in Ireland came to light by Ezra Levant's reporting- or enriching local corruptocrats with rental housing schemes like those in Springfield OH (owned by the mayor), or the government paying rising rents for 'investor' MP's council houses in Birmingham and Liverpool.

Where were the Floyd riots staged? In the priciest districts. Where are the 'natural disasters'- usually fires, due to bad forestry management- occurring? What do we do with these huge tracts of abandoned factories and the stores that no longer serve them? Replace a manufacturing community with a migrant rental housing one! Somebody wants to get real estate at a major discount and Build Back Better.

Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

https://sdgs.un.org/2030agenda

"People

We are determined to end poverty and hunger, in all their forms and dimensions, and to ensure that all human beings can fulfil their potential in dignity and equality and in a healthy environment.

Prosperity

We are determined to ensure that all human beings can enjoy prosperous and fulfilling lives and that economic, social and technological progress occurs in harmony with nature.

Peace

We are determined to foster peaceful, just and inclusive societies which are free from fear and violence. There can be no sustainable development without peace and no peace without sustainable development.

**

Our vision

7. In these Goals and targets, we are setting out a supremely ambitious and transformational vision. We envisage a world free of poverty, hunger, disease and want, where all life can thrive. We envisage a world free of fear and violence. A world with universal literacy. A world with equitable and universal access to quality education at all levels, to health care and social protection, where physical, mental and social well-being are assured. A world where we reaffirm our commitments regarding the human right to safe drinking water and sanitation and where there is improved hygiene; and where food is sufficient, safe, affordable and nutritious. A world where human habitats are safe, resilient and sustainable and where there is universal access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy.

8. We envisage a world of universal respect for human rights and human dignity, the rule of law, justice, equality and non-discrimination; of respect for race, ethnicity and cultural diversity; and of equal opportunity permitting the full realization of human potential and contributing to shared prosperity. A world which invests in its children and in which every child grows up free from violence and exploitation. A world in which every woman and girl enjoys full gender equality and all legal, social and economic barriers to their empowerment have been removed. A just, equitable, tolerant, open and socially inclusive world in which the needs of the most vulnerable are met.

9. We envisage a world in which every country enjoys sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth and decent work for all. A world in which consumption and production patterns and use of all natural resources – from air to land, from rivers, lakes and aquifers to oceans and seas - are sustainable. One in which democracy, good governance and the rule of law as well as an enabling environment at national and international levels, are essential for sustainable development, including sustained and inclusive economic growth, social development, environmental protection and the eradication of poverty and hunger. One in which development and the application of technology are climate-sensitive, respect biodiversity and are resilient. One in which humanity lives in harmony with nature and in which wildlife and other living species are protected."

John, the 2030 Agenda identifies, details, and proposes solutions for many of the issues that people on Jim's message board complain about, but for which few have a (viable) solution.

It is my understanding that the majority of world leaders have embraced the agenda in one fashion or another (it appears that there is a pile of money for compliance), so it is stacking up to be leadership vs citizens. My understanding is that Putin and Xi are on board with this agenda, so how do you reconcile that?

The 2030 Agenda is already being implemented, so if you want to have a say or terminate it, shouldn't there be a discussion?

If you believe in America as it is designed, meritocracy counts more than anything. However, it is a function of the society to provide equal opportunity to everyone, which our government has sucked at big time. Just the fact that everyone seems to think it is the government's job to make jobs is a major malfunction of this society.

You know the Peter Principle, you rise to your level of incompetence. It is true, meritocracy takes us to where we fail, where it is just too much to handle. Recognition by managers is critical to keep it at a minimum. People should be able to reach up as far as they can though.

Letting the government make those decisions is what needs to stop, my solution is pure capitalism, where the market runs the show and people have the opportunity to excel to their limits. The government must be left out of the economy, other than supplying the money to support it. No corporate favoritism, think Boeing, no corporate lobbying, tax rates favoring venture capital and stock growth. Just a start.

Stop limiting economic growth and encourage it, damn Obama's modus operandi.

Expand full comment

Well nepotism mitigates against meritocracy. Nevertheless, it will defeat it and/or destroy it in the short term. I think the Jews may have an artful combination going for them. Not a bad thing? Well they don't like us, you see. Google the Kalergi Plan to find out how much they don't.

OBTW, you know why Jews and Mormons do so well economically? They stand together, work together and support each other instead of constantly trying to rip each other up like the Gentiles seem to do. Our government and media is the antithesis of "together" so that By supporting each other, Jews and Mormons work their way into high positions easily.

Expand full comment

True. We can't compete against the level of nepotism plus real ability in many cases. We must imitate them - which means having nations of our own which they are not a part of.

In one breath you promote letting the free market work, and in the next you praise the Jews and Mormons for doing well economically because of "networking".

What about those who do not "network"?

The object of capitalism is to win it all.

Wining it all is the equivalent of Israel dominating its neighbors economically and militarily for decades, and in the end they are surrounded by the enemies they have created.

I don't have the answer, and perhaps there is no perfect answer, but capitalism plays out over time, and this is where we are at.

IAN

No where did I say I favor their methodology, I do believe foremost in capitalism, pure capitalism with no government bias or interference. No where in the world does that exist, and the Leftists of America are fighting hard to try to get rid of capitalism here. We will rue the day that happens.

The object of capitalism is to win it all, is exactly right. When the market works, all boats rise according to the talents of the people. That is NOT the problem here. The government wants dependence to control the public, including their votes. They do not want a free society with meritocracy as the basis for achievement. They want servitude, feudal serfs to serve them. Capitalism rose from the feudalism of the Middle Ages along with the middle class. Socialism destroys the middle class.

Capitalism does play out, becoming crony capitalism as the government interferes and corrupts the free market and controls the creation of new companies and technologies.

That is where we are at. So now, who do you want as president, a businessman who has succeeded and favors a free market, or an ult-Left socialist who wants the government to make all decisions. Let me think.

So long as federal politicians have access and ability to create unlimited credit, it just doesn't matter what party rules. The result will be the same.

Liberty, and its accompanying general welfare, is incompatible with politicians having the ability to create credit, which passes nearly exactly the same as money.

No way would the constitution have been ratified where federal politicians could create unlimited credit/money. The Founders were well acquainted with the practice of government emitting irredeemable paper money, and they righteously rejected it. Alas, we find ourselves back with the same system they roundly rejected.

This monetary system won't be reformed at the federal level. States have been neutered after the 17th Amendment. However, the current system will persist until a force greater than it acts in opposition. That force can only be states acting in concert to re-establish gold and silver as money....as defined in the Constitution.

All the states truly need to accomplish is end the practice of taxing gold and silver. Let the market determine what people use to transact and store wealth.

All true. I honestly believe that a complete Dollar Collapse will be more detrimental to the US than a limited nuclear exchange. In a Hyperinflationary Dollar Collapse scenario, I believe that if the US dollar becomes worthless by 7 a.m. one busy weekday morning, grocery stores will be empty, burning shells with some bodies in them by 10 a.m. and civilization will be gone by 3 in the afternoon. That is not wild conjecture, minds much wiser than I have written books about this stuff, it could happen very, very quickly in a heavily armed nation like this one.

The ones here would be on their way home.

Welfare by the Left and their buying votes is the thing that is dragging the country down.

With our government only concerned about itself, it is playing directly into their hands.

If the “faith” disappears, think about what would it be like that every monetary transaction you do a day, disappeared. Every purchase you make today would be unavailable. There would be no stores. No transportation of goods from the coasts. The cities would erupt as there would not be any goods trucked in. City folks would be out in the rural areas, ready to kill to get sustenance.

The US$ is already significantly devalued, but it doesn't presently reflect its value because of money inflow due to big money getting out of worse situations..

If you want to get out of the US$, the first step is to get out of US Bonds. If the US Bond market is 10 times the value of the US stock markets, where do you expect the bond money to flow?

I believe that the US Bond money will (continue to) flow into the US stock markets (view a 10 year chart of the MERVAL for ridiculous). Then view the "all" time frame of the Venezuela Stock Market (IBVC) for an example of a no bid situation.

Lately I've had all kinds of electronics problems with my RAM 1500 truck (it is being worked on at the dealership as we speak) as well as health issues. It has been determined that I have Afib which is an irregular heart beat. If not corrected it can lead to blood clots which can go to the brain and cause a stroke.

Very soon (within a few weeks) I will undergo a procedure where they give a quick shock to the heart in hopes that it will put my heartbeats back in sync. Dr. Shah (dot Indian of course) says there is little for me to be concerned about since of all the many times he has executed this procedure he has never "lost" anyone however he implied results could vary. It was not clear to me why the shock would put my heartbeats IN sync rather than putting them farther OUT of sync. I have to assume that as experts they know what they're doing.

This has me concerned about "waking up dead" as the expression goes. I REALLY hate the notion of ceasing to exist for all eternity (note: I believe as Jose Mujica believes that "There is only one life and it ends")

Before the procedure I will leave a note for Bo (my wife) that trash pickup is on Mondays and recyclables on Tuesdays.

I have been looking forward to my 84th birthday a month from now, specifically Nov. 21st, and wouldn't want the shock treatment to upset the apple cart. If you don't see any posts from John Smith for an extended period you can probably assume the worst.

Two quickies: in grade school we used to go by the burning busses where Cesar Chavez's United Farm Worker's union thugs stood with baseball bats. He hated seasonal migrants, since he was born in Indiana.

When 'La Migra'- ICE immigration or Border Patrol would come by the ranch in Nevada, we'd hide our Mexicans inbetween haystacks, piling up bales to block off the ends and making it look like one solid stack. They'd offer to buy us beer and take us hands to the Mustang Ranch, the local brothel! (High school kids had to enter in the back.)

The Holodomor Ukrainians were actually descendants of the Anabaptist Amish.

The glorious Tsarina Catherine, our great ally, requested thousands of them from the American colonies to teach her nation how to farm the rich soils of the Ukraine, so profound was their skill.

The Cheka goons weren't just killing farmers. As per their historic wont, they were slaughtering Christians.

Nature is a bitch. We have had it good for a long time. Go watch the people, aka tourists at Yellowstone Park for people who do not understand nature. There's a website tourons of Yellowstone Park. Reality is also a bitch. If Trump wins Pennsylvania, he wins the election. The food recalls are on the radar daily. I don't usually buy processed foods. I did have some frozen chicken tenders from Perdue, I had to throw those all away because they were deemed contaminated. Biden won Pennsylvania by 70,000 votes in 2020. In 2023, the Feds decided to go after an Amish organic farmer called Amos Miller. HE was selling organic produce and raw dairy products. The feds came in shut him down and humiliated him. He had never had a listeria problem. The Pennsylvania court ruled that he could still sell his products over state lines. The irony is large here. The original Amos was a shepherd and grew Sycamore figs in the Bible. He had enough of the "government" and turned into the first prophet and started preaching about morality. 190,000 Amish registered to vote. The mail voting is great for them. The tools that the dems used to cheat are being turned against them.

Other small farmers started banding together and supporting Amos Miller. The Navajo Nation came out enmasse for Trump. They are also shepherds and they make organic products like salsa, hot sauce, honey and cosmetics for sale. IMO the government has decided all the small farms must go, all the supplements that aren't big pharma must go. The EU tried to pull this on the Dutch farmers. The ITalians said no. They banned all fake foods and did not comply. Trump has a very good chance of winning Pennsylvania.

They make their living with the sheep and making stuff. The Chinese flooded the market with cheap knock offs. They are done. Trump first time tried to do something about this. We really need the Senate and the house too.

The electoral college was put into place to insure that states like California didn't dominate the vote. Democrats hate the electoral college and have called for its abolition, along with pretty much of the rest of America 1.0. Until it is, and under a Harris presidency it probably will be, democrats have been busy undermining the electoral system nationwide any way they can, lately fast-tracking illegals to citizenship before November 5. The Cheat in 2020 was flagrant, to anyone who had half a brain.

This one will be that too, but on steroids.

The DOJ is working feverishly to execute efforts to punish via lawfare, and even criminalize any state or entity or person who will dare to question this election, or even clean up their voter rolls!

Millions upon millions of ballots are being filled out as we speak with the names of illegal aliens who have been registered nationwide, and their names are now included on state voter rolls.

No investigation into the authenticity of any votes will be allowed and/or fought tooth and nail by our own Federal government, aided and abetted by cowardly courts.

Michigan's voter rolls list 8.4 million registered voters, nearly 500,000 more than the eligible voting population. That’s waaaay more than necessary to swing an election. And that’s just one state - not to mention a swing state.

We need a miracle.

I spent a few years in the 90s living in NZ working with the RNZN. Such a beautiful country, such amazing, resourceful people. I made many friends. However those were the Clinton years. I was wary of all the shuttling back and forth to NZ being done by Clinton cronies, and after 2000, by Hildebeast and her rapist husband himself. Today we know they were busy helping to steal the government from the tiny agricultural paradise and turn the whole place into a socialist laboratory for the WEF. The rest is history. God bless New Zealand.

In _Tramp Royale_, Robert Heinlein recounts a 1953 trip to New Zealand and totally drags it. He said they were all provincial scolds:

Apparently, the pit of misery, the region without hope, the most god-awful place in the whole southern hemisphere circa 1954, was New Zealand. The chapter dealing with this unhappy visit is called “The Dreary Utopia,” and its dreariness was of varied kinds. This is the only piece of travel literature I can recall in which the writer truly, deeply hated a Post Office system. The problem was not that Heinlein was a free-market ideologue hostile to New Zealand’s welfare state and tightly-controlled economy. Uruguay had a lot in common with New Zealand politically and economically in those days, but Uruguay also had restaurants that served non-poisonous food, and not everybody there shortchanged visitors all the time. Such were the petty vexations of the country that Heinlein spluttered even at the famous narrow-gauge railways, which in a better mood he would have liked. No doubt part of this antipathy was due simply to the fact the tourist industry was not yet well-developed, but for once the Heinleins forbore to seek private hospitality. They did have a letter of introduction, to a former prime minister no less. Heinlein would not use it, however, because it would have been so difficult to stop himself from telling his host how much he hated his country and everything in it.

Expand full comment

I was a big Heinlein fan growing up. Then I grew up. He had some nerve sarcastically referring to a "utopian" NZ. Heinlein's novels reek of his own brand of utopian hedonism. What I'm reading between the lines is Heinlein traveled to NZ and couldn't get laid.

Expand full comment

Heinlein's social stuff later on sure took the cake. In Friday (1982) he took the time to shit all over New Zealand, 30 years after his trip there. As for Tramp Royale, I mainly remember that he had a rasher of boiled-looking bacon with pig bristles still in it. That would make me hold a grudge, too.

Expand full comment

I read all of the Lazarus Long Jubal Harshaw crap. All of it. Lost it's entertainment value when I began adulting and realized Heinlein was writing mostly adolescent male sex fantasy. And there's nothing more miserable than an international traveler who whines about the bad food. That person is typically a bore to be avoided. It's part of the adventure. In NZ you're getting classic English "cuisine" (for lack of a better term) like it or leave it. My most memorable Thanksgiving was spent on the bathroom floor of a fine Auckland hotel with food poisoning. You learn to stick to the grilled lamb, fish and chips, pizza, and maybe some sweet yummy pavlova (basically a baked merengue cake) and you get by.
