My readers outdid themselves on this one! Within 24 hours of launching the Gemini Man Trilogy Kickstarter campaign, we hit the funding goal. I cannot say that I was expecting to reach it so soon.
But we’re not done yet!
I wanted to share with you the first true update since hitting our base funding goal. There are a few cool things I wanted to inform you over.
The initial campaign was to fund cover art for the big magazine-style omnibus release of the full trilogy, and that will be commissioned once the campaign has ended. This was the base goal, and we reached it.
The artist will be Manuel Guzman, the man who did the cover for Book 3, Gemini Outsider! You can see the cover art process for it below. He did great work on the cover for Book 3.
And yes, Manuel will be adding his magic to the full trilogy release that you have just helped fund! I cannot wait to see what he comes up with for the final cover. It is bound to be fantastic!
As for said final release, I just received my pre-release copy (without a cover or bonus content) in the mail recently to look over a potential final version, and this big boy is a behemoth. We're talking three novels and over 200,000 words of story here. This large book is unwieldy, but that is how you want a full trilogy to be with so much action and adventure. The hardcover version should be especially nice and tough, when all is said and done.
Like I said, this is one huge project. That is why I wanted the readers to be a part of the process and keep you updated as much as possible. It's an undertaking unlike any I've done before.
But we also have even more to look forward to ahead of us. There is still a little less than a month left to go until the end. If you have yet to jump aboard, check out the campaign page and back today! You’re not going to want to miss out on this one, especially since there is a good chance this particular release will only be available on this Kickstarter.
That’s right, this could possibly be the only time you will be able to get the full trilogy release in this format. With how Amazon allows physical formatting, there simply might not be any other choice.
Once again, thank you for your support and I will see you in the next update!
Congratulations JD!
