It has taken a while for the truth to come to light.
People are beginning to see the deceit and corruption the public has been exposed to forever from the news media. Since the earliest of times, the media and its many forms throughout history have been a tool.
This tool provided a means that the powerful, rich, and influential used to rule over the people. By controlling the information, you control the facts, culture, and narrative.
If people in the media cannot decide whether they are in the business of reporting news or manufacturing propaganda, it is all the more important that the public understand that difference, and choose their news sources accordingly.
So what's the end game?
We're seeing today something that's been going on for a long time. Throughout history, Governments and businesses have used the media to influence the people.
For years people had to rely on select sources for their information. In some areas, it was only one. When only a few means of information are available, the news content may not be challenged.
If the main sources of information are not tested, how can anyone have confidence in their truth? When almost all of the media is under one control, being its advertisers, how can they be trusted?
Could you believe they can be trusted by being slaves to their masters?
Fame and fortune do the talking
It always does, it costs money to produce any form of media.
The question then is what is more important, fame and money or the truth? The strange part is the need for money doesn't demand misreporting the facts.
Some people choose to mislead and deceive you. The explanation for this is a whole other story. One would say its basis, the reporters. Others will blame the producers.
Most of the blame should go to the advertisers, they're supporting it.
Not to say all the others involving the production of media are innocent. It takes a combined effort and common principles to happen. Do any of them care if they're serving the needs of the people and the country?
Do they even know they're lying to the people? In most cases, it appears they're repeating what everyone else is saying. They don't seem to investigate any of what they're saying.
They're not mutually exclusive, this is the sad part.
Is all the media lying to you?
For those reading this and saying the media sources they follow are the ones telling the truth. I don't care what your political side is.
Be honest with yourself, is your source of news and information always telling you the truth?
Since recorded history, all news and information had to be looked at with some suspicion as to the truth. No one can see everything at one time.
Nothing occurs in isolation, there are always many details behind the facts. As humans, we have our limits and our biases. Because of our faults, we become motivated by our emotions which clouds our objectivity.
I would say all media is evil with bad intentions.
Mostly, I'm saying they're human and not without faults. This is the more serious issue to be addressed.
No one ever wants to address the underlying problem with all of humanity.
Humans are crazy
Now all you sane people can leave.
If you have read any of my other writing you'll see I visit this subject regularly. Because it appears no anyone else wants to talk about it. To give you some more insight into what I'm talking about, read my confession.
I've mentioned this in some other articles about the 'Human Condition". You'll find information about it all over the internet. It's a way of explaining why humans are so crazy.
There are reasons this information is suppressed from society.
Keeping the people scared and confused
Keeping people unaware of the Human Condition is responsible for moving the public in a direction.
The question then is, who or what chooses the direction?
Before society, there were the tribal leaders and the chiefs, and before them, it was God, nature, or instinct.
The media has been and continues to be the tool. Used to keep society scared and confused so they will be receptive to media influence and control.
This is where the unholy alliances come in. Multinational corporations, with the government and media, collude to manipulate the masses.
Who benefits most from their manipulation?
It has become less and less the masses
Those benefiting the most are the oligarchs, people of wealth, power, and influence in society.
For whatever reason these people think because of their positions they know what's best and should be the ones to decide how society should live.
The problem comes when they feel they should live better than the rest of society.
This is where we're at now in the whole civilized world.
How can they live with themselves?
This depends on their principles and their ideology.
The voices and faces we see in the news are the ones delivering our source of information. These people become personalities we believe we should trust. Looking at their positions, you don't want to believe they would be lying?
You say there's no way a national news organization would allow their news personalities to lie to the views, would they? If no one has told you yet, they have. They had all been telling us lies whenever it was in their best interest.
So now how can you have trust in any of these people?
So everybody doesn't like me
Who cares if everyone doesn't trust or like them.
After all, they're making a lot of money, and popular with their believers and don't need everyone.
So what if I'm working against myself and my follower's self-interest, I'm doing great right now. Their day will come.
It's funny how they don't see themselves as another slave on the plantation. When they outlived their usefulness, they too will be discarded with the rest of us out into the fields to do their planting.
They don't care
There's only one way they can live with themselves, they don't care if you believe them or not.
They don't care because the media industrial complex along with their advertisers (their financiers) don't care.
It always comes down to power and wealth in the end. Fame and fortune once again rear their ugly head and keeps society and human civilization from reaching their potential.
This is a subject where one has to question their principles and beliefs.
The only way to explain it is civilization has lost its direction. Approaching this topic can bring people to a place many choose not to go.
Humans have a way of justifying anything. This is how we get ourselves into trouble. I admit it first we humans tend to be selfish. You see how this reverts to the human condition.
Selfishness is inherent in us. It's responsible for our survival.
The complexity of the human condition is responsible for all human weaknesses. Until we are willing to confront this challenge, little in society will change.
The function of journalism is, primarily, to uncover vital new information in the public interest and to put that information in a context so that we can use it to improve the human condition.
My conclusion is just a beginning
Until we're all able to look at ourselves and become enlightened about the human condition, nothing will change.
We as a civilization have to break out of the cycle. We're doing the same things over and over expecting different results.
And you know what this is, the definition of insanity.
