Yesterday, Monolith made its appearance. Officially out and on proverbial shelves everywhere. You can find the book at any bookstore, and although it probably won’t be on the actual shelf, you can order it and that supports me and the bookstore!
While my book was busy getting born, apparently a real monolith was making its appearance as well! Good friend and fellow author, Erica George, tagged me in a news article this morning: Mysterious Monolith Appears on Welsh Hilltop
Monolith (the book) was partially inspired by the 2020 monolith that appeared in Utah, causing a great distraction to the chaos of that year. At least for those of us who are endlessly curious and delighted by the strange, the mysterious, and unanswered events in our lives. Sure, it’s likely the hands of humans who like to stir up such mystery, but it’s fun to join in. And seriously the coincidence is too much!
The team behind this book had a nice turnout for the launch last night, all virtual, with friends joining us from all over the country as well as a few international guests. After some technical glitches, we were able to celebrate together, share our process, and I had the pleasure of finally getting to really chat with Corina, the designer. If we lived in the same country, we’d be hanging all the time, that much is certain.
What an awesome process this has been. I’m super proud of this little book. One of the coolest things is, since I’m the publisher, I can see exactly how many copies are being purchased and I was very happy to see this morning that people are finding it! I may not make serious bank, but it’s getting out there and that’s more than I expected.
I hope if you read it, you love it too, and if you do, please leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads. Especially as a self-pubbed project, it can use any bit of PR it can get, and I greatly appreciate it.
I will have a pretty cool announcement soon, so stay tuned. It’s not a book deal, but it’s something I hope will help make the next deal happen for a WIP that is very close to my heart. The journey continues, and as always, writers just have to keep writing.
Thanks to all of you who read and support and join me on this journey.
