Great discovery of the connection regarding Elon Musk to the book about Mars.
There was a movie called Elysium. The rich didn’t get away permanently.
On the subject of Mars and philosopher kings, H.G. Wells, noted historian and science fiction writer, shows us the power of history in the hands of those who still learn history. Wells published a complete history of the world, "The Outline of History" in 1919-20 as WWI roared through Germany, twenty years after his "War of the Worlds" introduced Martian invaders to humanity! I suspect Von Braun was as influenced as any young boy at the time to dream of rocketships and aliens, and found a way to pursue those dreams for the army. Anyway, our masters know history, and seek to create some of their own while muting history that contradicts them. They have succeeded already in the video game realm, inventing storylines (histories) to influence the player to act(kill) , and there is now a large population of aimless, militarized young folks looking for directions. History in the making.
