I enjoy exploring the SPACE and sharing what I find. My introduction to Rachael Haywire was at The Stoa - Philosopher Queens: Feminine Archetypes w/ Rachel Haywire and Raven Connolly feat. Alyssa Polizzi. Rachael Haywire is active on Substack with her publication The Cultural Futurist, which I am adding to my Recommendations.
The Stoa video description is,
Alyssa Polizzi joins Rachel Haywire and Raven Connolly to discuss psychospiritual development, metaphysics and personal transformation as it relates to feminine archetypes in contemporary society. We will ask Alyssa - What are the rising feminine archetypes? What are their shadows and how can they be transcended? What are the strengths of these emerging dynamics?
The rising feminine archetypes is a subject I am interested in in the context of a metamodern vibe.
Recently Haywire again shared The Philosopher Queen Manifesto which she first published on Medium in June 2020.
We were not second-wave feminists and we were not third-wave feminists. We were somewhere in the middle, yet unable to connect with these waves that crashed the oceans of our desires… It is time for us to come forward and define ourselves once again…
The zeitgeist is shifting, and we are here for it, doing the work… Running with the wolves, confident and powerful, we seek a restoration of our own divinity.
We are the dark goddesses who carve our own niche. This is not neoliberal feminism but American life. This is a return to the energy that has been repressed for so long… Yet it is time for a new rising. It is time for a new archetype.
We are Philosopher Queens and we deliver this legend.
I am reminded of my friend David Bryen who wrote THE MAN LOVES THE WINE SHE SERVES THROUGH HER BODY An Erotic Encounter with the Divine Feminine.
I am also interested in the subject of loneliness in a metamodern context and I appreciated Haywire’s post Why Can’t We Be Friends? - The Issue is Loneliness.
We need better ways to meet and communicate with each other. We need to make this online to offline shift less difficult and burdensome. We need to take up positions of leadership in our cities if the people we want to meet don’t already have a place to gather. Loneliness is not an online dating issue. Online dating is a loneliness issue, and online friendship is a loneliness issue. The issue is loneliness.
I had a look at Rachael Haywire’s 9 Substack Recommendations. We have only one Subscription in common but I did see a new one that I would like to explore. However, there are 8 people on Substack who I follow who also follow Haywire, giving me a feeling of community.
My sense is that The Philosopher Queens and the Metamodern Wannabes are different tribes that could easily be part of the same MOVEMENT.
The shadow side of a woman's attempt to juggle motherhood with her professional identity is that she soon discovers she cannot do it all. There are choices to make and consequences to accept. This is humbling on a personal level. However, integrating this knowledge on a collective level could help us recognize that we are limited and our planetary capacity is too.
