-If you are a citizen of Milwaukee, WI, today, there is doubtless excitement in the air, but probably more because of the Brewers trying to win the NL Central or whether Jordan Love can replace Aaron Rodgers - not because of the "GOP" "Presidential" "Debate" taking place there tonight. See, there are 12 candidates running to face incumbent President Biden in 2024 - and three of the candidates didn't qualify (prompting one, failed CA Gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder, to try to sue his way to the dais), one who did injuring himself playing basketball yesterday making his appearance questionable (a guy named Doug Burgoo or something who is allegedly a Governor of a Dakota), and the other seven will spend their time attacking the one guy who consciously will NOT be there given that he is polling at 62% and, according to a different CBS News poll, has 71% of his supporters believing what he says is true - beating news sources, family, and clergy.
-Yes, Ex-President Trump XCI has what can only be described as a cult-like following with numbers like that, and so because of his lead (and possible warnings from his current lawyers that if he went he could say things that could be held against him in several of his myriad criminal and civil cases being litigated against him at the moment) Trump will instead be 'interviewed' by Tucker Carlson, a one-time talk show host on Fox News now scrounging for audience on a rapidly-failing social media site.
-Trump has also announced he will be making another appearance tomorrow evening at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, GA, where he will be booked, finger printed, and photographed for his role as the head of "The Enterprise" that attempted to steal the 2020 GA Presidential election from Biden. Bookings have started to take place for the 11 others charged for the crime, with Rudy Giuliani - who was reportedly threatening Trump with flipping if Trump did not give a reportedly very broke Rudes legal fees until the announcement of a September 7 fund raiser hosted by Trump allegedly for Rudes at Trump's NJ golf course - being booked today, and former Trump COS Mark Meadows being told by DA Fani Willis in no uncertain terms that Meadows gets no extension to be booked himself, and if he doesn't to expect an arrest warrant to be issued.
-Yes, Trump will be booked during the evening cable news tomorrow. Getcha popcorn ready, and PLACE YOUR BETS - betting lines have Trump's over/under weight at 273.5 if you want to try to get some action and win some coin!
-Speaking of criminal crimes against Trump, a filing yesterday in FL by Special Counsel Jack Smith may be putting an even tighter squeeze on Trump in the trial involving classified documents being taken without permission (and possibly still not returned) to Mar-a-Lago, FL. In the filing, Smith revealed that "witness four" cited in the second set of indictments issued there admitted his initial testimony was false - and that he changed his testimony after leaving an attorney who was also representing at least one other defendant in that case while being "paid" (I want to see receipts) by Trump. The revelation reportedly is even worse news for Trump, whose only hope in that area may be the protection of Judge Aileen Cannon (assuming she is not removed from the case or even more surprisingly does her job without fear or favor).
-AND, there is a report that Smith has turned in a new set of sealed indictments in DC, reportedly also involving the classified documents, that could add to the tally of Trump indictments which he will spin as being awesome news for his 2024 candidacy - even though more polling is reporting a potential building of voters who would not vote (or at least will double-think about) for Trump if he is convicted of any one of a crime. Not to mention conservative legal scholars building what they believe is a Constitutional case that Trump's crimes make him ineligible to run.
-MEANwhile, President Biden visited Maui yesterday in the wake of catastrophic wildfires on that island (with reports over 800 are still unaccounted for) with HI Gov. Josh Green (D) thanking Biden for declaring the area a disaster zone and starting aid flowing to the state within six hours of the request. Not that you will hear that on right-wing media, who are falsely reporting the Biden Administration is approving developers swoop in on the area to try to buy property for pennies on the dollar (no such reporting is evident) and trying to spin the Biden-has-dementia line after Biden saw a dog near the podium and spoke to the dog (remember that Trump HATES dogs and loves to call things he hates "dogs" and how people he hates "loses" are "beat(en) like dogs").
-And to come full circle, if you are in the Milwaukee area, you will be seeing the first Biden 2024 ads tonight around the debate there. That is the start of a $22 million ad campaign to push the Biden campaign story of the economic recovery (dubbed "Bidenomics") and contrasting it with the GOP dumb show all attempting to show how any of them can be more Trump than Trump without Trump there, thereby making Trump the biggest presence in the debate.
