Today is Al Sharpton’s 24-Hour Blackout Day in protest of the dismantling of DEI programs across the land.
It was probably not a good idea to do this on payday. And fun fact: businesses still get the money when you buy stuff the day before!
Here’s today’s haul of my non-boycott. I’m cheap but not easy.
When I was in Ralph’s at the self-checkout, I heard the cashier talking to the security guard. It’s seems that they both forgot that it was boycott day. The security guard had even bought something from Amazon.
They looked at me like I was insane when I started laughing at them.
I bought the bubble bath and epsom salt at a mom-and-pop shop. Normally I buy eucalyptus or lavender, but all they had was coconut which I had been resisting. It will probably end up becoming my favorite.
And what about the mushrooms? I heard that mushrooms were good at preventing and lessening the severity of diseases like Alzheimer’s and dementia. (Yes I’m old.)
I don’t know about all that, but I do know that if I eat a lot fresh mushrooms, everything comes out a little bit better if you get my drift. And it doesn’t matter what kind of mushrooms.
I eat them uncooked on a salad or steamed with some other kind of vegetable. al
Try it and thank me later.
As I noted on Instapundit, a bunch of stinking rich people are encouraging me to lower my standard of living. Hells to the no, as the kids say!
Or they used to. I haven't paid a lot of attention to the kids lately.
Lol
