Tennessee's Fall From Grace Was More Fun Than We Could've Imagined
Takes more than a few flashy players
Tennessee’s fall from grace was more fun than any of us could have hoped for.
That win against Alabama was arguably one of the most fun college football games in recent memory. Tennessee was hot, they were rolling. Most of all, their fans were feeling themselves.
On twitter they were more fiery than usual and in Atlanta all of a sudden you started to see much more (very new, clean) Tennessee gear.
It was nice, new blood.
Then it got bad. Tennessee fans started thinking they were god’s gift to college football. The offense was better than Joe Burrow’s LSU team.
Then they had to prove they were the best team in the country… against the best team in the country.
The rain unfortunately thwarted their offense. For three quarters of sunshine they scored 6 points. Then it started raining and they tacked on a touchdown to lose by 14. If they doubled their points they still would’ve lost. But if it hadn’t rained and it was a neutral site they probably would’ve won by 40.
This ultimately made things easier for Tennessee. No SEC Championship game. If they win out they’re probably in the playoffs.
No problem. They’re the best team ever. Their toughest game is at a crummy South Carolina team.
HAHAHAHA
I hope the national championship trophy didn’t get lost in the mail after week 8.
But Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, TCU and USC all WON close games tonight so there’s still hope!
