People often wonder just how they are going to get people into these “smart cities.” They aren’t going to round people up and ship them in boxcars. They are going to make them in the most attractive places, and then they are going to make life so miserable on the outside that people will be clamoring for their space in their own pod.
It looks like the Maui fire was preparing a nice piece of real estate to showcase what it means to Build Back Better. Look for these smart cities to be in beautiful, stunning locations.
San Francisco is likely next. Let’s face it, it’s one of the most beautiful natural settings in the world. With the deliberate waves of homeless thrown at them and the armies of organized retail looters, they ought to be able to buy up what should be the most prime real estate at a real swindle.
And then they’ll set the swarms free on the suburbs. Which few people will be able to afford to live in soon enough. And once the homeless zombies start showing up and defecating on residential sidewalks, many will want to get out.
So many armed patriots have for decades been fantasizing about being prepared for federal law enforcement or other jack-booted thugs. A fantasy likely promoted to keep people from preparing adequately.
They aren’t going to come bursting through the doors on everyone. That’s too much hassle and way too much expense. They’ll do what they’ve done throughout history: starve people to death. Cut off utilities. Block roads. Eventually make entire regions so dangerous and uninhabitable that property owners will be desperate to sell just to flee and survive.
The plan is to get people to give up their guns by making them eager to sell them for a case of canned beans.
Rounding up people by force is just too costly. They’ll have people in bidding wars to get into their smart cities by unleashing the zombie apocalypse in whatever areas they want to drive people out of.
The city walls will return. At first they will appear to offer a refuge from the mayhem outside. And then one day they’ll become the prison walls. Fortunately Apple goggles will soon be arriving to make that pod more enjoyable.
There’s no place like pod…
The walled cities arrived some time ago.
They are described in the brochures and real estate ads as "Gated Communities." We have one here, called "Arthritis Ridge" locally, which was started about 40 years ago in one of the safest jurisdictions you could imagine. I have seen them in many US locations.
The next step is taxing us out. The local CVRD proposed a 19.3% increase in property tax this year, but backed off to 16% when protesters visited their last meeting.
