“Peachtober”
If you don’t already know, the online illustration community has dubbed the month of October as “Inktober” or “Drawtober”, which is a self-imposed drawing challenge where you draw every single day for the entire month. It’s popular to follow prompt lists to help (or hinder, on some days…) your creative process. This year I’m following Sha’an d’Anthes/Furry Little Peach’s “Peachtober” list!
I once read that drawing comics is only supposed to use 30% of your actual drawing ability…and I’m taking that to heart as I try not despise everything I’ve drawn. But that’s how it goes! Not everything is going to be good, and that’s a-okay.
Here are the drawings I’ve completed so far:
October’s Patreon Riso Print!
Every month I sent out a print in the mail to my lovely Patreon Riso Club subscribers. Buuuuut this month I’m sending out two prints, just because!
With risograph printing, you print one color at a time and so that the colors overlap to create an image (much like traditional screen printing). I recently acquired two new Risograph colors (Primary Yellow and Kelly Green) and I was soooo excited to use them. I’ve especially been itching for a proper green to print with for when I draw landscapes.
