INHABITING THE SACRED MOMENT
Steps Toward Recognizing And Coping With Times Of the Fulfillment Of Prophecies
There are many guides to these bewildering times. I believe many of us have become aware that these times represent a double edged sword. We suffer terribly as do those around us. We ask -”Why Us?”
Why do we have to live through these dark times? From the beginning of all this a small voice answered this with - “Why Not You”? It is that small voice that still guides me. It guides all of us, including mighty nation states and planetary and interplanetary governments - if we know how to listen.
Every religious tradition in the world seems to have some instructions on how to listen to that inner voice. And many have prophecies which have understood the inevitability of the very times we live in.
Guess my own personal journey has been to understand that we don’t choose the times - they choose us. If we are here we are meant to be in them. In the great wheels of being there are coincidences we don’t understand. As passengers through these journeys of space and time we are occasionally granted some fleeting opportunities to understand more. These fleeting opportunities often come in times of great conflict.
That for me is the double edged sword presented to each of us. We can use the sword for good or ill. The choice is in our hands. We must trust that each and every one of us is here now for a very good reason. We are in good hands. Why Not Me, Why Not Us?
As the introduction to Lord of the Rings voices we seem to have forgotten how to listen and to understand our history. Relearning will be a big task if we are ever going to engineer a world which is healthy for children and other living things.
This can also be viewed in the prophecies and tales of our Native American fellow citizens - some of whom have not forgotten how to listen. Some of our Native American leaders can explain America to America better than today’s modern American. So can most immigrants I know. There is an inner knowledge necessary to manifesting freedom. Freedom is not ever “Free”.
Russell Means hands the interviewer’s air-head certainty back to her in a hand basket. Russell is no longer with us in life but his ideas are.
Thomas Paine, author of Common Sense expressed this as follows:
“An army of principles can penetrate where an army of soldiers cannot.”
I urge readers to review the many apt writings Thomas Paine gave us. A quick view at the following links:

“I believe we are living here now at this crossroads for a reason. I believe we are meant to be here; that we are being given a chance to be the right people in the right place at the right time. I believe that we can end this evil, but only if we dare to try. It begins with one simple step: Telling the world “We Will Not Comply!”

Here, Brandon says it far better than I ever could.
Brilliant KWN, thank you for reminding me. The White Buffalo is something I had come across many years ago. I was in Texas in 1997 and visited a small reservation where I met some astounding people. I bought some CDs of their music. This song really gets to me and I play it often to remember who I really am in this great universe of countless spirits.
