The Discord Leaks
Trickled out over the past few weeks, the "Discord Leaks" reveal a multitude of government secrets, mostly centering on the war in Ukraine.
“Truth is treason in the empire of lies.” - Ron Paul
In our capital city of Washington D.C., numerous criminal acts are allowed to transpire on end without any semblance of accountability: lying, bribery, fraud, insider trading, starting wars based on lies, and ripping off the American people, to name just a few. But the one thing that is highly forbidden within the halls of government is telling the truth, or, in the case of Jack Teixeira, leaking the truth.
On the afternoon of Thursday, April 13, a 21-year-old Massachusetts Air National Guardsman by the name of Jack Teixeira was arrested by federal authorities outside his home on the grounds that the young gentleman leaked classified information in online chat rooms. As a whole, the leaked documents encompass a broad range of secret information that details Pentagon assessments of the war in Ukraine, Russian and Ukrainian casualty numbers, the U.S. spying on its allies, and much more.
Efforts have been made by the corporate media to paint Teixeira as a “racist,” an anti-government extremist, and a “gun enthusiast.” According to reporting by the Washington Post, Teixeira held “a dark view of the government,” and believed it to be “a sinister force that sought to suppress its citizens and keep them in the dark.”
If there’s one thing the regime wants you to know, it’s that anyone who opposes the government is an “extremist,” according to their contorted logic. Ultimately, these absurd insinuations of Teixeira’s extremism and racism serve as mere distractions to obfuscate what truly matters regarding the leaks.
A week or so before the source was identified, various mainstream news outlets erroneously claimed, without evidence, that somehow the leaks were orchestrated by the Kremlin. Reuters on April 7 reported that “Russia or pro-Russian elements are likely behind the leak of several classified U.S. military documents posted on social media,” citing the assertions of unnamed U.S. officials. As we know now, this was a complete falsehood.
The behavior of the media in reporting on the leaks has been uniquely abhorrent and is an egregious affront to the principles of journalism. After all, it was the regime propagandists at the New York Times and the Washington Post that helped federal investigators in their search for the alleged leaker. In a cruel move, the same outlets that hunted down the source of the leaks (Teixeira) are now reaping the benefits of reporting on the contents of the documents:
What The Documents Have Revealed
In particular, the classified documents unveil inconvenient truths as to how the war in Ukraine is faring for the Zelensky regime, further dispelling the prevalent narrative in the West of “Ukrainian victory.” The documents also reveal that U.S. officials have lied incessantly about the Ukraine war, whether in the form of exaggerating Russian troop losses, downplaying Ukrainian losses, overstating the myth of a successful Ukrainian counteroffensive, or lying about there being American troops on the ground.
A real shocker.
The documents pertaining to estimates of deaths in the ongoing war place Russia’s dead at between 16,000 and 17,500, while Ukraine’s fallen is said to be as high as 71,500. The assessments of Russian deaths drastically contradict what numerous U.S. officials have claimed in public throughout the war. Last November, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley contended that the number of Russian troop losses “was well over 100,000.”
Milley, along with a myriad of other officials, lied.
On March 28, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, in a hearing with the Senate Armed Services Committee, spoke about his positive outlook on a potential Ukrainian counteroffensive in the spring to retake land that Russia has conquered, stating that Ukraine would hold the “upper hand” in such a scenario. “I think Ukraine will have a very good chance of success," Austin said. The leaked documents prove otherwise.
Austin may portray an upbeat assessment of the counteroffensive publicly, but behind closed doors, he and other military officials view such a move as unrealistic and potentially damaging to the Ukrainian war effort. According to bleak evaluations in Pentagon documents, the plan will conclude in only “modest territorial gains.” The “enduring Ukrainian deficiencies in training and munitions supplies probably will strain progress and exacerbate casualties during the offensive,” reads one document.
In addition to proving U.S. officials have lied, the sensitive information also confirms that American special operation forces (SOF) are on the ground in Ukraine along with other NATO special ops. Slides reveal that U.S. troops have “mission critical functions” in the country, as well as listing the number of SOF from NATO member states. Dated March 23 of this year, the slide divulges that America has 14 soldiers on the ground, Great Britain has 50, France has 15, Latvia has 17, and the Netherlands has 1, totaling 97 in all. Additionally, the U.S. government currently has 100 personnel stationed in Ukraine, 71 from the State Department and 29 from the Department of Defense, for a total of 100.
In the weeks after Russia rolled across the border into eastern Ukraine, President Joe Biden scoffed at the idea of sending American men and women into the country: “The idea that we’re going to send in offensive equipment and have planes and tanks and trains going in with American pilots and American crews, just understand … that’s called World War III, okay?”
Another leaked document, this one from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), suggests that the U.S. doesn’t believe peace talks will be achieved until 2024. “Negotiations to end the conflict are unlikely during 2023 in all considered scenarios,” the evaluation reads. Adding to the Ukraine leaks, the documents also expose the fact that Ukraine could deplete its stockpile of air defense missiles by May.
Another aspect of the leaked information highlights U.S. intelligence spying on its allies: Israel, South Korea, and Ukraine. With regard to South Korea, the knowledge that their ally, America, spied on them has produced understandable outrage in Seoul. “We strongly regret that the top U.S. intelligence agency had been illegally spying on allies like our country,” one South Korean lawmaker said.
The concept that the American government gathers intelligence on its allies is the most unsurprising thing ever. Extraordinarily expansive and invasive domestically and abroad, the U.S. intelligence apparatus quite literally spies on everyone and everything.
As for the leaked Ukraine docs, they solidify what many of us have been saying since the early stages of the war: Ukraine is not winning, nor will they emerge victoriously in the war. Ukrainian casualties have far outpaced those of the Russians throughout the entirety of the conflict. The presence of U.S. and NATO troops on the ground was always known to an extent but never declared publicly by Washington. Now, the classified Pentagon documents substantiate that dangerous reality.
Without congressional authorization from Congress or a constitutional declaration of war, American troops have been sent into the Ukrainian proxy war against Russia. What are they for, and what is their purpose? For now, we can only speculate. But one thing is for certain: There are American soldiers on the ground in Ukraine aiding and abetting their war effort against Moscow, the world’s largest stockpiler of nuclear weapons.
Under oath, Lloyd Austin lied to Congress about his optimistic assessments of Kyiv’s ability to conduct a successful counteroffensive operation to repossess land seized by Russia. Behind the scenes, Austin and others know full well that Ukraine is losing and will not win the war, but publicly, they seldom, if ever, discuss the reality of the battlefield.
For exposing the regime’s lies about the Ukraine war, Jack Teixeria is headed to prison for a very long time. On the other hand, for lying to and deceiving the public, Lloyd Austin, Mark Milley, and other Washington ideologues will never face accountability for the immense harm they have done to their country.
Regarding Jack Texiera, there remain many important unknowns: How was he able to receive “TOP SECRET” CIA documents, DIA documents, and the other plethora of sensitive information? Did he act alone? Was this a government operation all along? Perhaps, we will never know the full story behind the Pentagon Papers 2.0.
In the wake of the classified disclosures, the Biden administration is already making known their intention of utilizing this event as a means to expand U.S. national security state control over the internet under the guise of preventing such an incident from happening again. It could also be used as a pretext to garner support for passing the RESTRICT Act, one of the most threatening congressional bills we have witnessed since the 2001 Patriot Act.
Rather than focus their journalistic attention on the substance of the documents, the corporate media instead pushed Pentagon officials to enact more security and safeguards to prevent further leaks from escaping into the public eye. Rarely, if ever, were questions asked about whether there are troops on the ground in Ukraine or who’s winning the war.
Jack Teixeira, assuming there was no shadiness involved, did the right thing by leaking the documents that proved American officials were lying through their teeth to the American public about their proxy war in Ukraine, a war that could easily spiral into a nuclear conflict. A man who is willing to surrender his life, property, and livelihood to unmask the lies of the empire to the American people is not a villain but a truth-teller.
Again we find out that the government is lying thru their teeth about everyone and everything. Yet, there are those die hard government fans who profit from it in one way or another at our expense. All of their friends are well paid.
