As I stand in the cool, humid air. Facing a clear and mid-autumn sky. Rolling my shoulders back, straightening my spine, I gaze into the rays of the setting sun. As the light is cast upon my face, I breathe, and the words begin to flow out.
I am impeccable
I am disciplined
I am strong
I am abundant
I am wealthy
I am confident
I am responsible
I am light
I am love
I carry with me the Great Father
I carry with me Mother Earth
I carry with me the Sun and the Moon
I am resolved
I have power
I love and am loved
I am a teacher
I am a warrior
I am a king
A king of my own kingdom, of my own power and will.
I have eyes to see…
I have ears to hear…
I have a nose to smell…
I have touch to feel…
I have a heart to feel…
In the darkness, I bring my light. In the face of evil, I am without doubt.
Power. Power emerged. Power was found, and it was felt. Strong medicine worked its way through my town, my home, my community, through my blood, and through my spirit. From the heart of the Amazon, into my local spheres. Medicine which brought a great reminder.
A reminder of who I am, of what I can be. A reminder of what we can all become…
Medicine was brought in the form of friendship. Medicine as poison. Medicine as nature. Medicine as ceremony. Medicine as community. Medicine as Wisdom. Medicine through an open heart and ears to hear. Medicine as joy and laughter.
The fire has been re-kindled.
The steps have been paved, and by receiving the medicine we are shown the way. Though we must be disciplined to continue on the path. To remove the ailments is only the first step. It is an opportunity to begin again. There is no cure-all. There is nothing that will heal you and keep you in eternal bliss. Healing, in any shape or form, only provides an opportunity. An opportunity to change the way we live, the way we consume, and the way we treat ourselves and one another. It is an opportunity to work. To work towards the light and to remain on our path.
I was fortunate to have a dear friend pass through to share ancient knowledge and techniques from a time forgotten in this modern and western world. Knowledge and wisdom that empowers. That inspires one to take their lives into their own hands. To be responsible for the Self. That encourages us to come together as a clan or tribe. To not be limited by modern frameworks of small, isolated units.
Know the light you carry. Be courageous enough to walk your path. Be aware enough to recognize the patterns that limit us. Be disciplined enough to create new patterns.
Patterns that make us whole.
More to come from these teachings as I continue to process.
Gratitude,
