Hello beautiful people. I love that you’re engaging with me and because more recently I seem to find myself in a type of “overwhelm” state I wondered if the same may be true for you. That consideration has led me to take a bit different approach to my involvement here at Substack. The new idea? To simply remain true to my mantra of being “Perfectly on Time” in all the moments we are gifted with and from there to look for a universal truth to share.
I also have a blog at www.marilynthom.com - and - sometimes a condensed version of musings/reflections seems to provide a significant “Aha” moment for this writer. I’m thinking the same may be valid for you the reader.
So, to start off this new approach I’ve taken a piece out of my blog for this week - We Are Not Alone. This Crone Chronicle resulted from some days of more mindfully observing life, reading and engaging with others.
Question: If I reach out to establish a connection and either do or don’t receive a response how do I react?
Reflection: That outreach resulted in the loveliest responses and in truth kind of took me by surprise. The bigger gift in all of it was how full my heart felt... that lovely element of sensing my soul kicking up heels and doing a little happy (perhaps tap) dance because others were also impacted by the words. The secondary gift was that my “shadow-voice” remained silent with regard to the “no response camp” - nada - nothing - that was powerful!
Take Away: I found a universal truth over at LifeHack that has been proven to me over and over again and thus the soul’s happy dance.
14. True fulfillment comes from thinking beyond yourself
Meaning and purpose are heightened by helping others and by looking at life beyond your own needs and desires. Helping others without seeking validation for yourself is a priceless way to add value to others’ lives and make a difference. The emotional rewards are immense.
A thought has been rolling around for me when it comes to your two blogs. Why don't you just write once and post it in the two different sites? Would this notch-down the sense of overwhelm in having to create two unique posts? Maybe these are "words to wonder on" :)
