Webinar Event: 3/11/24 - 7:00pm Central
“Join us for an enlightening discussion by two of Minnesota’s most knowledgeable advocates of healthcare reform. They will cover the basics of health care payment reform, why a single payer system is the real solution, and why 40 years of privatization and corporatization of our healthcare system has been a disaster. They will provide an overview of the threat posed by privatization of the Medicare program and will take your questions. Moderated by Jen Crawford, Executive Director, Physicians for a National Health Program - MN”

Demand common sense Off Road Vehicle legislation
Contact your House and Senate elected of either party to support this initiative, with a phone call or an email. HF 2791 and SF 1324 call for common sense solutions to the growing problem of Off Road Vehicles (ORVs, such as ATVs) ripping up our natural environment with overuse and misuse, combined with an abysmal regulatory system being mismanaged by the state.
Ask for:
OHV access on signed trails only – Help riders know where they can ride and on trail to reduce habitat fragmentation,
Buffer zones for waters that codify DNR and US Forest Service guidelines,
Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) - So the “Feds” don’t get in the way again,
Tribal/Local Control - Tribal approval and local government involvement early in the planning process,
Fairness for the entire state: Trail rules south of Hwy 2 apply to the entire state.
Other Things
We are watching legislation related to education funding, Native American voting access, SROs in the schools, and other issues.
Speaking of SROs, here is an interview with Senator Bonnie Westlin who has introduced an important SRO bill.
