Kano people are rich. You need to be in this city to understand what I’m saying. The town screams rich! People own those houses at Nasarawea GRA and other parts of Kano city. But they are not people like me who are still looking for their daily bread. Lol. These ones don chop bread bellyful.
This is the type of people I need to be around. Shebi they said you become people you hang out with. It is why I want to be following Rich people for the rest of the year (exchange people with men). Maybe I will be getting money from them till I make it.
So in case I don't leave this place after NYSC just know that I don follow one Rich man. I have imagined being somewhere in Maldavis rubbing the chest of one Alhaji. Don't give me that look, you think I’m looking for small small boys who dey still greet their father “thank you, Sir?” Lol. That is hilarious.
As I dey now I need a rich man to be sponsoring my baby girl's lifestyle. A young man will be calculating his expenses, which is why I want to find someone's father to be my unlimited credit card.
But there is a problem. I’m yet to find a man. In this city full of people, I never find one man wey go take care of me. I have been searching, until it hit me a few days ago that I have just been playing.
Na inside house or for inside keke I go find the kind of man I want? I don't go out. My route is from the Lodge to work back to Lodge. Then, go to church on Sundays. Rinse and Repeat.
Hold on, it's not like I don't like to go out. The truth is that outside na debit alert. Lol. Na NYSC “tarty tiree K” I go use dey comot? Well, since you need money to make money. So if you get reports that someone who looks like me is roaming the streets of Kano city, know that I finally decided to take the Bull by the horn and use my allawee to flex. After I take that decision, my mantra will be “flex on weekends and soak garri on weekdays.”
There are many nice places in this town. I understand that when some people in the South think of the North they imagine thatch roofs, mud houses and less civilization. Kano city is bubbling. Contrary to what some people think of the North, there are a lot of awesome places here where a baby girl can go chill and even create some video content.
There is “Sizzling Grills” which my colleague Maryam went to without me (I have still not forgiven her that's why I tease her a lot). She is even planning to have a Romantic date at Calido, a rooftop restaurant at one of the fanciest hotels in Kano. But since she never find man, I wan first am go there. Trust me, I have great plans on enjoying this city, na my pocket dey disappoint.
Anyways, I have told my friends Ujuamara and Chidera that if I don't make money this year I will use one of them to do a money ritual. I don't understand how somebody will have friends that will refuse to invite her to do asoebi at this old age. (Yeah, I know it's unrelated but I can’t miss the opportunity to tease my friends).
I will let you know when I find that man or visit those places. Until then, I will continue with my routines. I can't kill myself.
With love and everything beautiful,
Chinonyelum.
PS: People say I’m funny in person. But when I try to bring humour to my writing it seems forced to me. Perhaps it's not, or because I’m choosing my words carefully. I promised myself I will let my words flow freely in this newsletter but it’s hard. I will keep trying.
Anyways, I hope you did smile at one point or the other while reading this. And if you didn't? I can’t help you, go attend a comedy show or visit YouTube.
Cheers.
😂😂😂😂I'll get you a rich aboki soon
lol
