“The Kyiv regime is trying to carry out a number of criminal actions by striking at civilian settlements in Russia. These enemy strikes shall not remain unpunished”, a visibly angry Putin tells Russia’s security council — Sky News
First, let me focus on the operation inside Russia by Russian formations based in Ukraine. This post from Yigal Levin made me wonder if the forces are larger than we can estimate from open sources.
There is a severe uptick in operations in Belgorod. But what caught my virtual ear was Vladimir Putin admitting to them:
The effectiveness of the RDK/LSR/SB operation (and more, but more on that below) on the territory of the Russian Federation is indicated, at a minimum, by the fact that Putin personally mentioned them. He usually pretends that nothing is happening and publicly comments only on those events that are truly alarming. And given that the cockroach lives in the GB-ist realities of reports in folders, these events are not considered by Moscow as something local and they are reported to grandfather about them.
Yes, in such operations, 80% of what is published online is either IPSO or canned goods. But the shelling of Belgorod is no longer IPSO at all, just like the methodical destruction of an oil refinery. Yes, and entry into the territory occurs. Plus, of course, it’s not only the RDK, LSR and the Siberian battalion that are operating — the life-giving “wind of change” is blowing into the guys’ backs, which is kind of obvious. And by connecting these dots with a pencil, we will discover a more complex picture.
There is permanence and the creation of a new reality in this picture. In which not only Moscow found itself, but also, unbeknownst to themselves, the citizens of the Russian Federation themselves. If just yesterday Shoigu was calling all over the world and frightening people with a nuclear bomb, today military operations are taking place on the territory of the Russian Federation, and this has even ceased to surprise. And Putin, in all seriousness, must declare that “the attacks have been repulsed, everything is under control.” And then, after their house of cards — the oil refining infrastructure — starts to fall apart, Moscow will traditionally ask for help from the West.
But this will happen unofficially and behind the scenes. Like, save me, it’s a nuclear power button, you know? Like, do you want the suitcase to end up in the hands of some no-name bards? And here the rhetoric of the same Macron becomes clear. That the agenda is no longer just revenge for Africa. He, too, for a moment, is the leader of a nuclear power, and right now he is creating a new political discourse in which Russia’s place, in the terms of its leader, is only at the toilet. And this discourse is being created steadily.
But, so that these words do not deceive you, it will really only get worse and worse. Including for Ukraine and Israel, yes. This is the logic by which any flywheel of war spins. Moreover, the world war. When even such self-confident nuclear scum like the Russian Federation begin to shake in the knees. If I were in the place of the leaders of Ukraine, I would now remove all seals and restrictions.
Because there will no longer be a second such opportunity for Ukrainians. And I really hope that Bankova understands this and will not miss this chance.
In authoritarian spaces, information flowing up the chain becomes increasingly divorced from reality. Nobody wants to bring bad news to the
Leader. It tends to shorten life expectancy. So, the fact that Putin was informed and got angry is the reason why I wonder.
