Are you ready for the big break you’re praying for?
Aren’t we all defaulters of procrastination!
“Taofeeq, I really need to take my Adobe premiere pro to another level o, I’m slacking!
Taofeeq responds with, Yea, e don due, you don suppose know am since.”
We sometimes wait when something is happening or about to before we realize how procrastinating has made us slack on things.
Taofeeq my friend shared a five hours long video tutorial, (he paid for o) on how to edit as a pro using Adobe priemere pro but one excuse or the other sha, I’m still in the basic level.
Recently, I got an interview invite and I know very well how perfect for the role I am, but guess what? I haven’t perfected my video editing skill using this app and that’ll determine if I get the job or not.
Two years was enough for me to have perfected the skill and even if I’m good with mobile editing apps, that wasn’t enough.
Over time, I realized that I default in some other areas generally, maybe do things at the last minutes.
I made up my mind that either I get the job or nah, I’ll use the first quarter of the year to perfect my editing skills and move on to another skill.
Do you in any way find this relatable?
I was looking at what to write in today’s newsletter and went through my old notes, found this note I wrote down from a phone discussion with a friend.
Our discussion centered around some tips for re direction...
Where am I now?
Where do I want to be?
What are the skills that’ll help me be where I want to be?
How many of the skills do I have?
When I’m overwhelmed, I go back to the note on re direction and it gives some form of clarity.
We’ll continue the newsletter next week, God’s willing.
I hope you take things one step at a time and make little efforts to achieving your dreams.
When you get what you have been praying for, I hope it meets you fully prepared.
Till my next newsletter,
Always,
Yours cruise and truth
Nana.
Remember to stay Jiggy! and come say Hi,
Thank youuuu so much for reading!!
You knowww, next week in the continuation, I’ll touch on this.
Seriously, having to multitask on a couple of activities can be overwhelming.
Thank you for sharing this with us. Procrastination is something that is affecting me as well. Hope to take the bigger step as you said.
