If it's Monday, and not a holiday, it's time for a Zoom lunch session

Dartanyan Brown says he has led a life of ‘falling up,’ not down. He’s a musician and a journalist who returned to Des Moines to begin another chapter in his ‘integrated life.’ We reconnected and caught up with each other, and both determined launching a Substack column would be a productive complement to his current life. Wow, is it ever? What’s it like to be a singer/guitarist on the road with a successful band? Why would anyone leave that life to return to school and get a Journalism degree?
Join us for a Zoom call on Monday, January 8, starting at noon. Here’s his column:

On January 15 - CAUCUS DAY - I’ll host a roundtable with Democratic Party officials to discuss the OTHER caucus that night. The one not so much in the news. Unlike in most years, the Democrats don’t have a seriously contested presidential race, so why attend a caucus?
January 29, our Zoom guest is Des Moines native Ann Friedman, who founded Planet Word, a museum in Washington, D.C., where she lives with her husband, journalist and author, Tom Friedman.
