Fire the Cannon! Judge Aileen may have finally stepped in it!
I swear to God if they do not try to recuse this woman...!
I see red whenever anyone tells me to trust the legal system, especially a lawyer. I barely trust the system to hold my pocketbook when I got to the bathroom.
Part of it stems from the fact that I have little to no reason to do so. I have lost family members who never received justice to the very same system wealthy White male attorneys way their fingers at me to trust.

Sure, they can trust the system—it has been good to them, paying for nice suits, lavish homes, and fine meals abroad. I'm not hating on them—they worked hard for those things. I am not discrediting any work they do on the field either; however, the out-of-touch Pollyanna aspect of their outlook stems from never being negatively impacted by the laws they revere.
Meanwhile, autistic kids like my cousin Ryan (mentioned in the above video) or Elijah McClain are shot without guns in their hands simply for being in the wrong place while being Black. When and if these cases go on trial (Ryan’s case did not), more often than not, justice is not served.
Hell, Elijah McClain’s killer received a slap on the wrist for that brilliantly beautiful young man’s death.

Yeah—I spit nails over that trust the system bullshit.
My distrust of the system deepens
How the Florida Trump document case, specifically Aileen Cannon’s handling of it, has unfolded makes me distrust the system even more.
Harry Litman of the Talking Feds Podcast even reveals in the video below that Judge Cannon is thumbing her nose at the law and using all kinds of legal loopholes to not be called out on it.
Her latest ruling positions her to dismiss the entirety of the Maralago documents case with little to no recourse for Jack Smith because she didn’t make anything she was saying official—she merely fired a shot across the bow in a meandering order that made no sense to the legal pundits who read it.
Some are saying that she could yet be recused from the case if not removed from the bench entirely, but that remains to be seen. I, for one, hope Jack Smith puts the smackity-smackdown on Trump’s little judicial acolyte and fires the Cannon!
Rawstory reports:
U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon could be removed from a classified documents case against Donald Trump, according to a report.
On Monday, Cannon shocked experts by proposing jury instructions that would suggest that a president had sole authority to declare documents a personal record, essentially dismissing the case against Trump.
Daily Beast columnist Ray Brescia wrote Tuesday that Cannon is on track to lose jurisdiction of the case.
"[O]ver the last six months, a slow-moving car-crash of a case has been unfolding, with a judge who seems committed to protecting the former president at every turn of the road," he wrote. "At worst, she is doing all she can to protect the former president from facing the classified documents case before the election, if at all."
Legal experts have suggested special counsel Jack Smith may be forced to appeal to a higher court.
"Should Smith ask an appellate court to review Judge Cannon's rulings, not only is he likely to get those decisions reversed, her actions to delay and attempt to block the effort to bring the former president to justice may end up getting her removed from the case altogether," the columnist pointed out.
Will Jack Smith appeal to the 11th circuit?
Hell, I dunno, but I wouldn’t hold my breath over it. We have been Lucy Footballed on the idea that Jack Smith was about to move to recuse her compromised ass any second now for over a year.
If it happens, we will hear Legal Eagles crowing, “See, we told, it works—it is slow, but it works!”
It is slow because the law requires a clean-up of aisle three; can the slippery slope nonsense! You can prune the tree without killing it! There is nothing about the current legal system that is so sacrosanct that things cannot be changed to make the process more expedient.
Justice delayed, is, after all, justice denied.
Oh, and Happy Peter-Navarro-is-Going-to-Jail-Day (I can't believe they let this traitor speak before clanging the door behind him!)

ALSO, A CORRECTION:
My Cousin Sherrie died in 2014—one of the dates on the memorial brochure was wrong.
"He should've complied." Now they care about imprisoned people & their families? Sure, Pete.
About what I expect from Judge Cannon.
Thank you for sharing stories about your loved ones and other victims of our "justice" system. ❤️
I am so sorry for your losses, and for the injustices that your family has suffered. I’m yes, holding my breath that she gets fired but you’re right Alicia. “justice”
is for the rich white guys not for the little people. I really hope Jack Smith is David to the Orange DiaperDon Goliath.
